It’s our monthly all-age service at 10am on Sunday, July 12th - ideal for families old and young. This week we’re learning about the parable of The Good Samaritan and helping others. There are crafts to occupy children during the 45-minute service, and refreshments afterwards. Come and join us.

We’ve had two wonderfully uplifting events in church today.
This morning’s service of thanksgiving for Rose Day included some joyful dancing by the South African children from Elizabethfontaine School, with the lesson read by Goostrey Rose Queen Tilly Busher.
And this afternoon we hosted the first concert by Goostrey Community Choir, with a retiring collection in aid of East Cheshire Hospice. It was lovely to see friends and neighbours singing their socks off and obviously enjoying themselves. Audience participation was good too! Well done to the choir and conductor Paul Beswick.

Have you heard your neighbour singing in the garden? They’re probably practicing for Goostrey Community Choir’s concert in St Luke’s Church on Sunday.

It’s a free concert, beginning at 4pm, with a retiring collection in aid of East Cheshire Hospice.

So come and support the village’s community choir, and enjoy a musical interlude before the start of the week.

Dancing in the aisles? You can see this on Sunday at our special all-age Goostrey Rose Festival service when we’re delighted to host the wonderful dancers from Goostrey’s twin school, Elizabethfontein, in South Africa.

The newly crowned Rose Queen Tilly Busher has been invited to read the lesson, and we hope as many children as possible will come in their Rose Day costumes.

The service begins at 10.30 and refresh will be served beforehand, from 10am.

It’s our monthly all-age family service at 10 am on Sunday, when we’ll be hearing about rocks, sand and where best to build a house!
Come and join us for this 45-minute service, followed by refreshments. Children’s crafts available at the back of church for any restless little ones ( or adults!).😊

We’re delighted to be welcoming the Bishop of Chester, the Right Reverend Mark Tanner (pictured), to St Luke’s this Sunday - May 10th - for a special 10am service.

Four members of our congregation are getting confirmed, and whilst this won’t be our usual ‘second Sunday’ family service, children are very welcome. We’ll have a crafts table for them at the back of church.

So if you’ve never met the Bishop of Chester, come and join in what will be a joyful and memorable service - 10am this Sunday, followed by refreshments.😊
