Advance notice of our upcoming services this Easter season as we journey through Lent into Passionate and Holy Week and a reminder of united service on the fifth Sunday in March.
Passiontide and Holy Week Services
As we approach Passiontide and the great events of Holy Week, please find below the services taking place across the United Benefice.
You are warmly invited to attend any of these services as we walk together through the story of Christ’s love.
Maundy Thursday – 2 April
4.00 pm – Stripping of the Altar service of the word at St Matthew’s Church, Haslington
7.00 pm – Last Supper Communion service and Stripping of the Altar at Christ Church, Wheelock
Good Friday – 3 April
10.00 am – An Hour at the Cross at St Matthew’s, Haslington
2.00 pm – An Hour by the Cross at Christ Church, Wheelock
6.30 pm – A Service of Shadows at Christ Church, Wheelock
Easter Saturday – 4 April
2.00 pm – Easter Egg Hunt for all the family at St Michael & All Angels, Crewe Green
Easter Sunday – 5 April
Services of Holy Communion at the usual times in our parish churches as we celebrate the joy of the Resurrection.
9.30am St Matthews, Haslington
10.45am Christ Church, Wheelock
11am St Michaels & all angels, Crewe Green.
March Fifth Sunday – United Benefice Service
Please note that Sunday 29th March is a Fifth Sunday. There will be a United Benefice Service at 10.30 am at St Matthew’s Church, Haslington. There will be no services at St Michael & All Angels or Christ Church, Wheelock on that day.
