When Neil Armstrong stepped onto the moon’s surface on July 20, 1969, he famously said, "One small step for a man, giant leap for mankind". That tiny movement wasn't just his own; it was a victory for the entire world.

In the same way, the Bible tells us in Romans 5:17 that while the disobedience of one man brought sin into the world, the obedience of one man Jesus Christ brings something much greater.

We’re coming into the final stretch of our prayer and fasting season, and we’re gathering again as a group this morning.

If you haven’t been able to make it to the Tuesday nights, you are so welcome to join us for this. We really believe that when we show up and pray together, it makes a real difference, God hears us, and it’s been encouraging to see how He has been speaking to us as a church over the last two weeks.

"Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins." — 1 Peter 4:8

​In a world that is often quick to criticize and expose the faults of others, Peter gives the Church a different command: Earnest Love. This isn't a passive feeling.

The original language describes a love that "stretches" or "strains"—much like an athlete reaching for the finish line. It is a love that chooses to protect and forgive rather than resent.

When the world gets darker, the Church’s love should grow deeper.

Elim Church Crawley, we're gathering again tonight for our second Tuesday prayer meeting of this fasting season and we'd love you to be there.

Your presence genuinely matters. There's something powerful about seeking God together as a church family as we pray for His direction.

You don't need the perfect words, whether you're praying out loud or simply sitting in quiet prayer, it all counts.

We know life is busy - shift work, family commitments, full schedules. If you can only drop in for a short while please do. It's not about how long you stay. It's about showing up together.
