Journey in prayer to Walsingham this autumn, joining people from across our Diocese at 'England's Nazareth' on our diocesan pilgrimage, 23-25 October.

The Shrine's Pilgrimage Theme 2026 'Mary, Cause of Our Joy,' calls to mind the saving actions of God, through Christ, in the Holy Spirit, that have brought joy to the Blessed Virgin, to the Church, and to humanity.

Today marks the start of Volunteers' Week. As well as the many who volunteer in Lourdes, Pilgrimage Director Alex tells us that there are more than 100 people “seen and unseen, who support the pilgrimage throughout the year, from those who iron priestly vestments and count luggage labels… through to our planning teams that guide the training, organisation, clinical support and leadership, and so much more.” We are truly blessed to have such wonderful support.

One of our Lourdes Pilgrimage volunteers has helped us produce a special Pilgrimage rugby shirt in the official Diocesan colours, now available to purchase online. Cost: £25-£40. A donation from every shirt sold will go directly to the Pilgrimage Funds, helping to support our Assisted Pilgrims and those who care for them in Lourdes.
