Broadfield Christian Fellowship is a local church made up of people from all backgrounds. We are based in the Broadfield Barton Church and Community Centre, which we share with the Church of England and Roman Catholic churches. We are adjacent to the local shopping parade, which includes a large free car park, ideally situated for the local community.

This Is My Story series continued today as Lawrence shared his story with us. He described it as a story of grace, restoration, redemption, and identity.

Lawrence spoke about his early years living with his grandparents and how, at the age of eight, he became critically ill. His mother took a bold step of faith and took him to a crusade, trusting God for his healing. He recovered, and that experience became an important part of his journey.

He also spoke about his search for identity as he grew older, and how that search led him into places and experiences he would rather not have gone through. But Jesus found him and brought him back to Himself.

This Is My Story continued today as Ms Caroline shared her life story with us.

She spoke about her childhood, the difficulties she experienced growing up, and being raised by a single parent. She also shared about the struggles she faced with addiction and how Jesus delivered her from that season and restored her relationship with Him. Isaiah 1:18 was an important part of her story, particularly in recalling the times when people spoke to her about Jesus. Her story was a reminder of how God can use people to reach us, encourage us, and point us back to Him.

It was a story of the love of Jesus and how that love can reach us in different ways, both directly and through the people He brings into our lives. Ms Caroline's journey is a testimony to the grace and love of God and what He can do in a person's life.

This Is My Story continued today as Ms Margaret shared her life story with us. She spoke about some of the difficult experiences from her childhood and how they left her carrying anger and depression for many years. She also shared about a time when she was close to becoming homeless and how, in the midst of that uncertainty, she saw God come through for her.

Her story was a reminder that life can leave us with wounds and struggles that take time to deal with, but that God does not abandon us in those moments. Through the different seasons she has faced, Ms Margaret's story showed how faith and God's help can carry us through circumstances we may not have thought we could overcome.

It was another good service and an opportunity to listen, reflect and see how God has been at work in someone's life.

This week we paused our This Is My Story series as Claudia joined us to share the story of their missionary journey and the next assignment God has called them to. They will soon be returning to Brazil, and she spoke about what the journey has meant to them and the relationship God has helped them build with Broadfield Christian Fellowship over the years.

Claudia also shared from Ecclesiastes 3, reminding us that there is a time for everything and that God makes everything beautiful in its time.

Today was an opportunity for us to reflect on our time at this year’s Revive, following our return from the annual event last week.

Those who attended had the opportunity to share some of their experiences, lessons, blessings, and personal takeaways from Revive. It was interesting to hear the different things people took from the event and how the experience had spoken to each person in different ways.

Church was a great time together today as we continued our This Is My Story series.

This week, Lydia shared her life story and reflected on some of the trials and challenges she has faced over the years. Through it all, she spoke about learning to forgive, persevere and to keep trusting God, even when life was difficult. Her story was a reminder that faith is often shaped in the seasons we would not choose, and that God remains faithful through them even as we learn to take the blessings that come from forgiving people who hurt us.

Please note that we will not be meeting at Broadfield Community Centre next Sunday as we will be joining other churches and Christians at Revive 2026.

This morning we continued our This Is My Story series.

Elliot shared his journey of faith and spoke about his experience of being involved with the Christian Union. He talked about both the challenges and the enjoyable moments, and how those experiences have helped him grow in his faith.

He also reflected on the value of growing up in a Christian home and the positive influence it has had on his life. It was a reminder that God works through families, friendships, and everyday experiences to shape our character and strengthen our faith over time.

We received communion today, a command solemnly in honour of Jesus.
