It was a real privilege to interview David Hamilton and share his powerful story.
From growing up in Northern Ireland during the Troubles, to involvement in paramilitary activity and time in prison—David’s life could have followed a very different path. But in the midst of it all, he encountered Jesus Christ… and everything changed.

What followed was not an easy road, but a courageous one. Leaving behind his past, David chose to walk a new path—led by the Holy Spirit, even when it was costly and dangerous. For over 40 years, he and his family have faithfully served and loved others, impacting countless lives.
This is a story of transformation, hope, and the power of God’s love to reach anyone, anywhere.
Take a listen—we pray it encourages and challenges you.

We attended the Stations of the Cross in St. John’s Lylo country parish this afternoon. Simple and profound reflection on the ‘Passion of Christ’

The Shepard was struck, and sheep felt frighten, lost, confused, guilty and abandon. We know the human condition. Are need of a Saviour.

A beautiful atmosphere this morning with the Year 8 pupils, as Niall shared in their Easter Assembly on the amazing, sacrificial love of Jesus.

We are truly grateful to the school and staff for their warm welcome, and for their genuine care for the young people entrusted to them — creating space for a real encounter with God’s love.

We pray each student comes to know more deeply how loved they are this Easter, and that the hope of Jesus remains with them.

Rónán and Joanne Johnston, together with their friends in the Emmaus Community, have been instrumental over the years in shaping a deeply authentic expression of creativity and music ministry. What emerged was never simply about musical excellence or giftedness — it was about hearts opened to God and surrendered in love for His people.

In the early days, when the Holy Spirit first stirred something profound within Rónán and Joanne, they were simply a small gathering of four to six people meeting faithfully in Rónán’s home. From those humble beginnings, the Emmaus Community gradually flourished. What followed were remarkable transformations — first in their own lives, and then in the lives of many others who encountered the living God through worship that was wholehearted, vulnerable, and deeply prayerful.

At the centre of their story is an awakening: the discovery that we have immediate access to the love of God — a love that is personal, relational, and transformative. The joy of realising that we are fully known and deeply loved by Him reshaped not only their music, but their mission.

I first encountered Rónán, Joanne, and the Emmaus Community while living in Dublin during the early years of my missionary journey in the 1990s. We were all swept up in what became known as the Charismatic Renewal — a powerful and global movement of the Holy Spirit that, between the 1970s and 1990s, impacted an estimated 90–120 million Christians worldwide. It was a season marked by renewed expectancy, worship, and a rediscovery of the Spirit’s active presence in the Church.

The Emmaus Community gave language to hearts longing for deeper intimacy with God. Their music carried a distinct vulnerability and a prophetic sense of mission — helping many recognise that faith is not distant or abstract, but immediate and personal.
In this conversation, we journey from the mid-1980s to the present day — reflecting on radical encounters with a God who knows us and loves us individually. We explore the beauty and cost of leadership, the challenges faced along the way, and the wisdom that only hindsight can bring.

This is a story of Trust, Surrender & Believing in the enduring faithfulness & love of God.

The Trailer Is Now Live — The Way of St Patrick

Today marks an important moment. The official trailer for The Way of St Patrick by Nua Films / Scripture Union (SU Ireland Resource) has just been released.

🎬 Watch the trailer here:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3IE5IsCWmaw

The full film series will be released 3rd March 2026.

St Patrick is more than a figure in history or a cultural symbol. He shaped the spiritual imagination of this island. His witness, courage, forgiveness, and missionary obedience transformed Ireland from within. A former slave who returned to the very people who enslaved him — not with vengeance, but with the Gospel.

Patrick’s life was marked by:• Deep prayer and dependence on Christ• Bold proclamation of the Christian faith• Cultural engagement without compromise• A vision that reached families, tribes, and future generations

His influence still echoes across Ireland today — in faith, in heritage, and in the story of Christianity on this island.

The Way of St Patrick invites us to look again — not at myth, but at mission. Not at legend, but at lived faith.
This is a story every person on this island should encounter.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to attend and reflect on the recent Tiné Network Conference, centred on the theme:

“What next for the future of evangelisation in Ireland?”

The day was structured around three key sessions:

Session 1 — The History of the Tiné Network
A helpful overview of how the network began, how it has grown, and its continuing role in supporting evangelisation and mission across Ireland.

Session 2 — Cultural Change & Mission Focus
Bishop Fintan offered a thoughtful analysis of the cultural shifts that have taken place over the past 25 years. He also highlighted signs of hope, pointing to the growth of new ministries and apostolates serving the Church today.
He outlined seven Synodal outcomes the Church in Ireland is focusing on as a pathway forward:

BAPTISED & SENT
1. Belonging
2. Co-Responsibility & Lay Leadership
3. Family
4. Formation & Catechesis
5. Healing
6. Women
7. Youth

He challenged attendees to consider what true unity and a synodal way of mission could look like in practice.

This session also highlighted a range of tools, resources, and organisations serving evangelisation — Cast Ministries got a wee mention😇.

Session 3 — Vision Toward 2033
The final session explored a shared Global vision for the Church leading toward 2033, with a strong sense that this call to mission extends across denominations, countries etc

There was group discussions around what global mobilisation could look like — both locally and internationally.

The day concluded with a questionnaire and open discussion on how the Tiné Network can continue to support and equip people for evangelisation going forward.

We’re encouraged by the vision, collaboration, and renewed missionary focus reflected throughout the conference.
