Last week we had a wonderful time at our Mix and Mingle Youth Summer Club, welcoming around 20 young people each day.
Throughout the week, the young people enjoyed games, crafts, team-building activities, plenty of pizza, and lots of fun together! We also had Christian-based talks exploring the themes of intercultural understanding, family, unity and love, giving everyone an opportunity to think, share and learn together.
We were blessed with an amazing team of volunteers from St James and the Chinese Church, who generously gave their time and energy throughout the week. A special thank you goes to Fiona, our Youth and Family Worker, who did a fantastic job organising the club and coordinating all our wonderful volunteers.

St James Fletchamstead is looking for a part-time Church Administrator (16 hours per week) to join our team.

This is an exciting opportunity for an organised, welcoming and committed Christian to support the day-to-day life and ministry of our church and community. Working alongside our clergy, volunteers and the Bridge Benefice team, you'll play a vital role in helping our church flourish through excellent administration, communication and organisation. If you have strong administrative skills, enjoy serving others, and would love to be part of what God is doing at St James, we'd love to hear from you.

Here is a sneak peak of our Family Good Friday activities tomorrow. We are ready and cannot wait for you to join us.

There is something for everyone: scavenger hunt, grow an Easter garden, flower pot it, lantern light, Easter trail mix and Easter basket.

We have a play area set up for babies and toddlers.

There is a seating area for parents to chat and socialize while enjoying a cuppa with a hot cross bun.

Come and join us! Doors open at 10 am.

St James Fletchamstead is looking for a part-time Family and Youth Worker (16 hrs/week) to lead our children’s and youth ministry, including Sunday School, a youth club (ages 10–15), and a toddler group.

An Occupational Requirement exists for the post-holder to be a practising Christian. Enhanced DBS required

Intercultural Carol Service - Sunday 21 December, 5pm
Join us for a joyful Intercultural Carol Service. This special gathering celebrates the richness of our diverse community as we come together to share carols, traditions, and the message of Christmas in a variety of languages and cultural expressions. Everyone is warmly invited to attend, and the service is completely free. Come and experience the beauty of Christmas through the traditions of many nations as we worship together in unity and hope. There will be mulled wine and minces pie at the end of service.

Christmas Eve Trail - Wednesday 24 December, 3pm
Bring family and friends along on Christmas Eve at 3pm for our interactive Christmas Eve Trail at St James Church. This fun and engaging event invites people of all ages to explore the Christmas story through a series of stations and activities around the church main space. It’s a wonderful opportunity to pause amid the busyness of the season and reconnect with the heart of Christmas in a creative and memorable way.
