🔔 Listen out for the bells at Fillongley today! 🔔

There will be some extra-special ringing at St Mary & All Saints, Fillongley today, as we welcome a visiting team of bell ringers to the village.

The team is being led by Rodney Swallow, who will be a familiar name to some in the village as a former resident and previous member of the Fillongley ringing team.

It’s wonderful to welcome Rodney and his fellow ringers back to Fillongley and to hear the bells ringing out. 🔔

If you hear the bells today, you’ll know that something special is happening in the tower!

🔔 Bell Ringing News from Fillongley Church 🔔

Just a heads up to everyone in the village — the bells will be ringing out on Friday evening for a final practice ahead of a wedding on Saturday afternoon. We hope you enjoy hearing them for both events

And if you've ever fancied having a go yourself, mark your calendars for our Open Tower on Saturday 15th August! Whether you're curious about bell ringing or have always wanted to try it, come along and have a go. We'll have experienced ringers and teachers on hand to show you the ropes (quite literally!) and help you take your first pulls.

No experience necessary — just bring your enthusiasm. All ages and abilities welcome. Hope to see some new faces! 🔔😊

🔔 Listen out for the bells today! 🔔

If you're in the village today, you may hear our church bells ringing for much longer than usual.

We're delighted to be welcoming a visiting team of bell ringers who are attempting a full peal – a remarkable achievement requiring around three hours of continuous ringing without a break or mistake. It takes great skill, concentration and teamwork, and we're grateful they've chosen our church for this special occasion.

If you hear the bells, we hope you'll enjoy this wonderful tradition of English church bell ringing and wish the team every success in their attempt!

Big thanks to everyone who supported the Easter trail and parachute drop in the churchyard. Fillongley knit and natter have now gathered in all the Easter bunnies, chicks & crosses. We’ve counted the bunnies for the final quiz question. There were 122 bunnies (answers ranged from 20 to 200!) The winner was Sam- well done 👏
