St Luke's Church, Holbrooks Sunday Mass times: 17.00 (Saturday), 08.00 (Low Mass) and 10.00 (Parish Mass). All welcome! Sunday Mass times: 08.00 (Low Mass) and 10.00 (Parish Mass).

There has been a Church presence in Holbrooks since the early decades of the twentieth century, when housing began to be built for people working in local industry. The Church of Saint Luke was constructed in 1939 and, like the people of its parish, suffered the effects of the Second World War and its aftermath. Over the years our area has seen many changes, and Saint Luke's remains at the heart of its community as a reminder of God's presence in our world and of his love alive and active in our neighbourhood. Today the Company of Mission Priests keeps the feast of its principal patron, Saint Matthew. Chosen from his tax‑collector’s table, Matthew reminds us that the Lord calls disciples from every walk of life and entrusts them with the Gospel.

Next Sunday at the Parish Mass we honour Saint Vincent de Paul, the Company’s secondary patron, whose witness to charity and mission continues to shape its life.
