• Coventry • UK They felt they should pioneer a 10 month Discipleship Training School based in Coventry, which started in Sept 2013.

YWAM Cov: History

During the 2012 Olympics in partnership with the More Than Gold campaign, YWAM The King’s Lodge, based in Nuneaton, took groups to Coventry. They went to various churches to help with sports in the park, holiday clubs and other ministries that the churches had initiated. God continued to speak to some people at The King’s Lodge about being more involved in Coventry, including Be

n and Jo Foster. They watched as God opened many doors ahead of them … a local church offered a building for them to live in and use, located in central Coventry. Staff began to apply through God’s prompting. Relationships formed continued to grow, including amazing relationships between the ministers of the churches, catching up and praying together every month. Although the DTS was a success, it was felt in the summer of 2014 that this year would be a time to focus on local outreach. God continued to bring staff to the team and we now participate in many different areas of outreach, being called to 'the all and the every'. We try to reach out to the local community in continued partnership with the ministers and churches throughout the city. The Coventry team continues to be closely linked to The King’s Lodge returning once a week to participate in worship and fellowship there.

Last week we had the massive privilege of hosting this incredible team from here in Coventry.

We get really inspired by seeing young people leaving their home nations (South Korea, Brazil, Colombia, Chile, Hong Kong) to learn English with the only aim of MAKING GOD'S NAME KNOWN!

And so they did!! They shared testimonies and led activities at a local church, talked to people and boldly spread the love of Jesus, besides impacting our lives with the passion they carry!

Here’s a recap of the Easter Outreach!

Only a couple of hours in two days to see so many lives being touched by God’s love and grace. The testimonies are many! 🔥

We celebrated Easter with while hitting Coventry with arts, love, prayers, hot cross buns and a proper Mosaic Brew speciality coffee! ☕️

What a privilege it is to live in a city where leaders of different denominations meet periodically to worship and pray together, encourage one another, and think about the advancement of the kingdom!

Yesterday, promoted a gathering where we could hear from some local inspirational churches & organizations on their great work with young people.

Now, with our hearts inspired by powerful testimonies, and faith strengthened by the commitment of our brothers and sister, we move forward with our main objective: To know God and make him known! 🔥

At the age of 21, she said, "I declare before you all that my whole life whether it be long or short shall be devoted to your service […].”

At 96, she could have said, inspired by Paul, "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.“

There are very few people who manage to be more noble than the positions they hold. She was one of them.

Last week we hosted an outreach team from YWAM .brasil and how special was to see how these young guys are just burning for Jesus.

Years ago, Europe poured a fire over Brazil through our missionaries. But now, Brazil has been sending missionaries to the whole Europe to pour something new over our nation. 🇧🇷🔥

They certainly rekindled the flame on the streets of Coventry preaching the gospel, where many people got saved and healed by Jesus.

As pioneers, we’ve tried so many miracles until here so far, but we’re trusting God for a harvest exceedingly more abundant.🔥

Can you help us? The YWAM COVENTRY car is broken!

£1,500 worth of work needs to be done.
A very trustworthy garage here in Coventry, run by a faithful brother in Christ is doing us a really good deal, but we still need to raise another £750.

Are you able to give something to help us raise the money?

In case you don’t know all the things we use our car for, we;

Take refugees to church, Bible schools, small groups, etc. and also, help them to move houses, go to hospital and other appointments.. and that was just in the last month.

Take outreach teams around to do ministry, including ourselves in a daily base, take food to a food hub weekly, visit people and share the good news of Jesus in the city of Coventry and beyond.

And also to ordinary daily routine as pick up groceries to feed the team.

We had an amazing opportunity To invite the fusion DTS from youth with a Mission Harpenden.

They graciously took time out of their busy schedules to come down, and do various Work and ministries with the refugees.

They did everything from working in a food bank, organizing products at carriers of hope to sharing their testimonies.

They also played roles as characters from CS Lewis’s Compelling novel Narnia the lion the witch and the wardrobe Telling the story of Aslan representing Jesus his death on the cross and his resurrection and how there is hope for good and humanity still to this day.

This group has no idea how much the of an impact they have made on the people of the community and in the churches and we are honoured to call them friends! ♥️🔥

Over 1000 people tried the exciting and interactive experience of Narnia last week at the Old Blue Coat School.

The Narnia team partnered with Holy Trinity Church Coventry and .dts to run this magical experience.

Many families and children were led through the wardrobe to explore the magical world of Narnia, wandered through scenes, met some of the main characters and even were crowned king and queen of Narnia!

In times of war, as in the chronicles written by C.S. Lewis, being able to share this story of HOPE with our local community was definitely really powerful.

As Coventry is known as city of peace and reconciliation, we also pray that this magical door in the hearts of the leaders of Russia and Ukraine will be wide opened so they will be able to meet Aslan in the midst of all this difficult situation.
