SUNDAY CHURCH ⛪️ SERVICE
THE SACRIFICE OF FAITH 🙏🏾

Today’s Sunday Church was a blessed and inspiring time in the presence of God.

The sermon was delivered by Reverend Isaac Kwarteng and was titled “THE SACRIFICE OF FAITH”, with the main texts taken from Genesis 22:1–19 and 1 Samuel 1:24–28. We also reflected on Judges 11:1 onwards.

Through the stories of Abraham and Isaac, Hannah and Samuel, and Jephthah, we were reminded that genuine faith is demonstrated through obedience, trust, commitment and sacrifice.

Reverend Kwarteng highlighted some of the things we can sacrifice as Christians in our walk with God:

🔹 Ourself — Our Body: We are called to present ourselves to God by living lives that honour Him, avoiding lies, sin and anything contrary to His Word.

🔹 Our Time: Our time is valuable, and we can dedicate it to the things of God and the advancement of His Kingdom.

🔹 Our Talents and Gifts: God has given each of us unique abilities that can be used to serve Him and bless others. We were encouraged not to keep our gifts to ourselves but to use them for God's work.

During the sermon, Reverend Kwarteng also spoke about the importance of using our gifts to serve God and reminded us that our time, talents and efforts in God's house are valuable sacrifices when offered with a genuine heart.

🔹 Our Children: We can sacrifice by investing in our children spiritually — teaching them God's Word, bringing them up in the ways of the Lord and helping them develop a relationship with God.

🔹 Our Substance: Our finances and material possessions can also be used to support the work of God and contribute to the advancement of His Kingdom.

The examples of Abraham's obedience, Hannah's dedication of Samuel, and Jephthah's vow challenged us to understand that faith is not merely about what we say we believe, but also about what we are willing to surrender to God.

Ultimately, the sacrifice of faith requires us to give God our lives, our time, our gifts, our children and our substance — trusting that whatever we commit into His hands is never wasted.

May God give us the grace to offer ourselves wholeheartedly to Him and to serve Him faithfully with everything He has entrusted to us. 🙏🏾

Today, we were reminded that as believers, we must intentionally cut off every satanic influence that seeks to draw us away from God's purpose. Through prayer, obedience to God's Word, holy living, and complete dependence on the Holy Spirit, we can overcome every strategy of the enemy.

With the main text taken from Acts 13:6 the service challenged us to examine our lives, reject every ungodly influence, and remain steadfast in our walk with Christ.

We also shared in Holy Communion, remembering the sacrifice of our Lord Jesus Christ and renewing our covenant with Him.

May we continue to walk in victory, holiness, and the power of God throughout this week.
