Higher Ground Meadow

Three generations, one shared promise of care. 🌿🪻

In 2009, Higher Ground Meadow was opened by my grandparents to offer a peaceful, natural place of rest.
A few years later, Higher Ground Family Funerals was opened to help families through every step with warmth and understanding, as an independent undertaking service.

Since then, our family has grown, and three generations now work side by side to support families during life’s hardest moments.
Carrying on that exact same ethos, Alice’s Pet Cremations was established here on the farm in 2026.
Whether we are looking after a person or a cherished pet, you can rest assured they are cared for by the same family, on the farm, surrounded with love.

☕🪻We are opening our doors on Friday, 24th July 9AM - MIDDAY for an Open Coffee Morning.🪻☕

📍 Underhill Farm
Corscombe
Dorset
DT2 0PA

It is simply a chance to:
✨ Come and view our peaceful barn.
✨ Meet us and see exactly where your pet will be cared for.
✨ Ask questions so you know exactly what to do when the day arrives.
If you cannot attend, you're welcome to call to book an appointment to see the space🌿

You may not need us right now, but when the time comes, we want you to have complete peace of mind. 💜

Many pet owners don't realise that when your pet passes, it is entirely your choice who looks after them. You do not have to leave them at the vet’s or use their default service you can choose a local independent service🪻

Good morning world its so good to be back at the place I love. Thank you to the amazing staff on the cardiac care ward DCH for looking after me for the past two weeks you are so kind and caring. Now I will have to take a bit of a back seat here and let the old body recover.

A belated Happy New Year to everyone. It's the time of year when we renew our membership of the Good Funeral Guide. An independent guide which we choose to belong to, giving you confidence that our premises have been inspected. We also promise our families that their loved ones will be looked after as if they were our own family. If you find yourself having to arrange a funeral please give us a call and see how we can help.
