𝙈𝙖𝙧𝙜𝙚, 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙧𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙨 𝙖𝙧𝙚 '𝙚𝙧𝙚! 🌧️🌦️
The weather might be turning a bit Northern Irish, but as the classic Aussie ad says, our BBQ will still be super juicy! Because we won't let a bit of drizzle damp our spirits, we are moving the whole operation indoors.
We are officially shifting the party INSIDE THE PARISH HALL! 🎪✨
Everything else stays exactly the same—the grill will be hot, the tucker will be ready, and we’ve still got a heap of backyard games prepped to keep the ankle-biters completely amused.

Christianity Explored is back tonight at 8pm in the Parish Hall.

This week we’re looking at the cross of Christ.

A powerful way of capturing what the Bible shows us is in this well-known quote from John Stott:

“For the essence of sin is man substituting himself for God, while the essence of salvation is God substituting himself for man. Man asserts himself against God and puts himself where only God deserves to be; God sacrifices himself for man and puts himself where only man deserves to be.”

Join us this Sunday as we gather to worship God on Trinity Sunday.

At both our 9am Holy Communion and 11am Morning Prayer services, we’ll be looking at Mark 11:27–33 and asking a question that remains as important today as it was in Jesus’ day:

Who is Jesus, and by what authority does he speak and act?

As Jesus is challenged by the religious leaders in the temple, we’re confronted with his claim to be far more than a teacher or prophet. He is the Lord who calls us not merely to religious words, but to genuine faith, repentance, and obedience.

Fire up the barbie and dust off your Akubras, because Matthew and Erin are throwing a proper 𝙋𝙖𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙝 𝘼𝙪𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙚 𝘽𝘽𝙌, and you’re all invited!
As your relatively new Rector (and with a genuine Aussie wife leading the charge), we’re throwing open the gates to the Rectory garden for an evening of good food, great laughs, and classic backyard fun. Our friends in Tullanisken Parish are holding a breakfast, classic car & tractor run on Saturday 30th May. If you're free, why not go along and support them? Proceeds are to church repairs and mission work.
