Museum of Orange Heritage based on the Cregagh Road Belfast, gives you an insight into the history and traditions of the Order, starting from the Glorious Revolution right through until the present day.

Entry is 𝐅𝐑𝐄𝐄 and we are open Monday-Saturday 10am-5pm (last admission is 4pm)

GOLI welcome apology from BBC.

The Grand Orange Lodge of Ireland welcomes the apology issued by the BBC to Goldsprings LOL 1037 and commends the determination of its members and local political representatives to see the facts of this matter correctly reported.

When challenged by Grand Lodge Officers, BBC Northern Ireland staff defended their position and reporting of the issue and, unlike other media outlets, did not offer an apology.

It is clear however that the BBC Executive Complaints Unit in London have taken a different view and have recognised that the reporting fell short of their own editorial guidelines.

All organisations are rightly subject to media scrutiny, and thanks to the Glorious Revolution of 1688, our press enjoy an uncommon degree of freedom to do so. However, with that freedom comes the responsibility to ensure accuracy and clarity.

13th July - Ballywalter

As we approach The Twelfth (being held on Monday 13th July), we have received the following information from the host lodge Ballywalter Heroes LOL 1884.

- All lodges from the four districts are to be at the field on Greyabbey Road on or before 11am. Police will begin shutting roads in and around Ballywalter at 10.30am.

- The service will commence at 11.30am. The speakers will be Wor Bro Worthington McGrath, Assistant Grand Master and Bro Jim Shannon MP. Accompaniment for the service will be provided by Ballywalter Flute Band.

- Main parade will commence at 12.15pm along the following route: Greyabbey Road, Main Street, Stump Road, Westland Avenue, Dunover Road, Broadway, Main Street, Well Road, Park Avenue, Greyabbey Road and back to the field.

- Return parade will start at 4.15pm along the following route: Greyabbey Road, Main Street, Broadway.

- Buses for Newtownards, Holywood and Bangor Districts will be positioned on Dunover Road.

A good turnout at the Annual Conlig Village Star LOL 695 Parade & Church Service ⛪️ in Conlig Presbyterian today. Good to see the 3 bands on the road too, the Cottown Pipe Band, Johnston Memorial Flute Band & Cleland Memorial Pipe Band even in the damp weather ☔️🎶🥁

Not long now until our annual Church Service and parade. Always held on the first Sunday in June we will be joined by Brethren from Bangor District LOL NO 18, Newtownards District LOL NO 4 and brethren from further afield. All Brethren are invited and welcome to attend and we shall be accompanied by three bands on the day.
