**Bell Ringing for VE80**

We will be participating in the commemoration of the 80th anniversary of VE Day on Thursday, May 8, 2025. 18.30 - 18.45 Bells and ringing are an important part of both our church and the wider community, and ringers across the country have been invited to join in.

During World War II, the ringing of church bells was banned starting from June 13, 1940. They remained silent except for signaling invasion and the eventual ringing for peace.

If you would like to learn more about change bell ringing, please let us know. We welcome everyone to join our inclusive band.

This year we are kicking off May Day in style. The Bells will be ringing from 10.45am till 11.15 in celebration.
Why not pop in and check out St Mary's Astbury on May Day? Tours available.
Tickets to be purchased from the fundraising stall at May Day.
Astbury May Day Saturday 17th May 25, 11am till 5pm.
