First Comber Welcome to the social hub for First Comber Presbyterian Church. Here we'll do our best to update you on the latest news and events from Church.

We also have a range of 'facebook groups' listed under the 'groups' tab for Youth. Feel free to have a look! A bit like us, our story is not complicated. We're a community of everyday people who want to follow Jesus, His message and His example. We have lots going on for everyone. Whether you’re a family, single, very young, or not so young – you will find something to help you feel a part of God’

s family here. As well as fun, we enjoy looking after each other - particularly through prayer. Our Sunday Service is a genuine blend of both contemporary and traditional. Our worship band, choir, children’s church and talks endeavour to engage everyone and enhance our worship of God. We strive to be, but probably do not always get it right: friendly, loving, accepting and supportive, so that people will be drawn to Jesus and His name honoured. First Comber isn't just about Sundays. So whether it's 5-a-side, Girls Brigade or Boys Brigade, Mums and Tots, Hill Walking, Life-Groups, Prayer Meetings or Golf we have somewhere you can start your First Comber adventure. Today was a momentous day in First Comber as Ash & Tamar (and Aaron!) took their final First Steps.

Over the past eight years they have set up, hosted, played, sang, dance, led actions, handed out bibles, crafted, baked, wiped tears and picked up stray toys for over 1,000 under 5s and their carers.

During that time they have walked alongside children and parents in difficult circumstances, cheered their successes and made everyone feel like part of one big family.

No-one will forget their epic parties, colour coded cups and plates, the Christmas grotto of dreams, the inflatables and the love they poured into every child that came through the doors of First Comber.

Thank you for everything you’ve given, and given up, to serve in this ministry that you are both so good at and so passionate about. Thank you for the generation of children who took their first steps of faith thanks to you and thank you to Roz and Anne for agreeing to take on this amazing ministry next year!

For now, Tamar and Ash, enjoy your ‘retirement’ in KFC and Younglife!!

“Great Balls of Fire, what a weekend we have in store for you! This Sunday is the Big Church day out in Delamont Walled Gardens. Come, bring food, share food, chat and join in some sports and songs - from 11am / 11:30am onwards this is for everyone and anyone! If you can’t escape Comber there’s a very short service at the Church from 10:30-11.”

FINAL KFC OF THE TERM

As we close the door on KFC for another school year we want to do it in style!

So, this Friday's final KFC will see inflatables, BBQ (indoor!), games, big screen console games, craft and the largest game of tag seen this side of the Enler!

It'll be a fond farewell to lots of our P7s as well, as they graduate to big school and big KFC, also known as Young Life!

And parents, don't forget the Parents Cafe is open, with free coffee and buns - so why not take a load off and catch up with some friends.
