WORSHIP WITH US
Sunday mornings at 11.30am;
1st & 3rd Sunday evenings of the month at 7.00pm
(July/August morning services at 11.00am)
To glorify God and to enjoy Him as we hear His Word, sing His praises and offer up prayer. The best way to understand what our services and our church is like is to come along, you would be more than welcome! Whatever your background, whatever your experience o
f church, we trust that you will find Ballywatt to be a community of Christ’s people. We don’t mind how you dress and we don’t mind where you sit – you will be very welcome. When you come please introduce yourself to our welcome staff /door greeters. Ballywatt is part of the larger Presbyterian Church in Ireland. The Presbyterian form of Christian faith is best described as 'reformed & evangelical' with its strong emphasis on the Sovereignty of God, the Kingship of Christ and the authority of the Bible, in which God has spoken and through which the Holy Spirit speaks to us today. It is this conviction which shapes our life together at Ballywatt. As a congregation we are committed to teaching of the Bible (Old & New Testaments) systematically and clearly week by week. This is reflected in the preaching at the Sunday services and in our other groups which meet during the week. Ballywatt Church has approximately 150 families, many of whom have lived and farmed in the area for generations. The distinctive red roofed Church building can be clearly seen from the main Ballymoney to Portrush Road, although it has a Coleraine address. The present building was erected in 1895. The nearby Moore Memorial Hall was opened in 1911 and is designed in the same style as the church. The church buildings have been extensively renovated in recent years and serve as a focus for the local community.
