“But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”

Paul acknowledges that he is prone to being unnecessarily proud of the way God uses him as an instrument. So instead of shining the light to him, a thorn in his flesh is sent from satan. God has not permitted this to be healed but told Paul of having Him as his strength in this weakness, in this imperfection. All the more our faith is strengthened in the difficulties for we know that the mighty hand of God is at work. Through these we persevere and endure and come out victorious all because of Christ’s enablement as we continue to fix our eyes on Jesus, not on our achievements nor difficulties.

“Suffering for Christ”

Key verses from 2 Corinthians 11:22-30:

The whole chapter talks about false teachers and suffering for Christ. Paul was telling the people and the church about the false teachers or aposltes. At that time, false apostles in Corinth were boasting their impressive speaking abilities, worldly success and achievements. Paul defends and protects the church by telling them about the false teachers’ “foolish boasting”. Paul counters this. Instead of boasting worldly achievements, Paul tells them all of his severe sufferings and trials- beaten multiple times, shipwrecked, imprisoned, starved, and constantly facing danger. Yet Paul emphasizes that these things he will boast. He will boast in his weaknesses so that the power of Christ will be magnified through Him. Despite of physical torture that Paul experienced, the greatest weight that he carries is his spiritual and deep concern for all the churches that he is planting.

Paul’s ministry was driven fully by God’s power and not his own strength. He is reminding everyone that we must be careful whose teaching we need to follow because false apostles define their leadership by their status, eloquence or their own strength. But true Christian leadership is a sacrificial service to God and others. We should not evaluate our life through worldly standards like our status, image, wealth and power. Instead, as followers of Jesus, our life is defined in our suffering for Christ. Paul was whipped, stoned, shipwreck and constantly exhausted in life. But why did he endure it? Because he knows that the call of Christ isn’t a promise of a life that is free of suffering or trials. It is a call to take up one’s cross. Our faith and trust in God is tested when we face trials, not when our life if comfortable. God uses our problems and difficulties to remove our self- reliance and force us to depend on His grace. Truth is, it is always in our difficulties when God’s grace is the only thing that sustains us to overcome. In fact, I have heard so many Christians testifying, “nung mga panahong wala akong makakapitan, God rescued me” It tells us that God works most powerfully when we boast our weaknesses and surrender to Him- in His strength and His power. God created us not to fail or just to survive, but to thrive and achieve victory over any adversity.

We are like broken jars of clay, our weaknesses allow the mighty power of God to shine through us. When we are weak, He is strong. So embrace your weaknesses mga kapatid. In the world, people hide their weakness and only show or tell others about their strengths. So do not hide or suppress your limitation, weaknesses and brokenness. We need to boast it to the Lord in surrender. Allow those flaws to be platform of God’s grace. When we acknowledge our inability, we make room for the Lord to do immeasurable more in our life.

Elevated by Excellence
ASCENSION DIMENSION SERIES

KEY VERSE
Daniel 6:3
“Then this Daniel distinguished himself above the governors and satraps, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king gave thought to setting him over the whole realm."

Why does God want us to ascend?

‭‭Genesis‬ ‭1‬:‭28‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
“Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.””

God causes His people to ascend so that they would occupy positions of influence and continue advancing His Kingdom plans and purposes in the earth.

Can God simply place anyone in positions of influence?

‭‭Romans‬ ‭13‬:‭1‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
“Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God.”

God is looking for people He can trust. People whose character can sustain the calling. People whose inner life matches the weight of their assignment.

That is why Daniel 6:3 says:

“Then this Daniel distinguished himself above the governors and satraps, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king gave thought to setting him over the whole realm.”

People who are faithful.
People who are dependable.
People who honour God in private before they are recognised in public.
People who do ordinary things with extraordinary faithfulness.

However, while excellence is a gift from God, developing an excellent spirit is our responsibility.

Excellence is God’s gift to us, but becoming excellent people is our choice.

Before God elevates our position, He transforms our spirit.

Notice the progression:
• Daniel distinguished himself.
• An excellent spirit was found in him.
• The king considered promoting him.
• He was elevated over the entire realm.

Excellence came first before ascension.
Daniel was elevated by excellence!

1. Ascension Requires an Excellent Spirit

The Bible says:

“An excellent spirit was in him.”

Daniel 1:17 gives us the key:

“As for these four young men, God gave them knowledge and skill in all literature and wisdom…”

The foundation of Daniel’s excellence was not self-made—it was God-given grace.

God gives the gift, but we are responsible for how it is cultivated.

He chose discipline.
He chose consistency.
He chose prayer over compromise.
He chose obedience in a culture that pushed him to conform.

God supplies the Spirit of wisdom and excellence,
but Daniel surrenders his life to be shaped by it.

We become like the One we spend time with.

Excellence, then, is not striving harder—it is staying closer.

An excellent spirit is:
• Faithful when no one is watching.
• Consistent in private and public.
• Responsible with every assignment.
• Committed to honoring God through excellence.

Colossians 3:23
“Whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men.”

2. Ascension Happens Through Distinction

We are also talking about integrity when no one is watching.

It is a failure of spirit.

Church, our nation does not simply need intelligent leaders.
It needs leaders with integrity.

Zig Ziglar said,
"It is true that integrity alone won't make you a leader, but without integrity you will never be one."

Daniel did not blend into the culture around him. The Scripture says he “distinguished himself.”

There was something different about:
• His attitude
• His integrity
• His work ethic
• His prayer life
• His wisdom

As disciples we must understand:
We do not rise by becoming like everyone else. We rise by becoming who God created us to be.

Because Ascension always Attracts Opposition

Every new dimension often attracts new challenges.

But Daniel teaches us that an excellent spirit remains excellent even under pressure.

3. Ascension Requires Continued Dependence on God

Despite his influence and position, Daniel never abandoned his prayer life.

Daniel 6:10 NKJV
“Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went home. And in his upper room, with his windows open toward Jerusalem, he knelt down on his knees three times that day, and prayed and gave thanks before his God, as was his custom since early days.”

Daniel teaches us:
The God who elevates you is the God who maintains you.

Your next dimension is sustained not by your ability but by God’s presence.

4. The Goal of Ascension Is Kingdom Influence

God placed him in positions of influence so that kingdoms would recognize the greatness of God.

What spirit will govern us?

Will it be fear?
Will it be hatred?
Will it be outrage?
Will it be the spirit of this age?

Or will it be the Spirit of Christ?

Daniel remained faithful to God while serving people with wisdom, integrity, and compassion.

Church, an excellent spirit is most visible in moments of tension.

Anyone can be excellent when life is comfortable.

The world doesn’t just need louder opinions.
It needs believers with an excellent spirit.

The purpose of ascension is not self-exaltation but Kingdom impact.

God elevates people so they can:
• Represent Him.
• Influence culture.
• Advance His purposes.
• Reveal His glory.

It is about developing:
• An excellent spirit
• Consistent integrity
• Faithfulness under pressure
• Dependence on God
• Kingdom purpose

Ascension is not simply going higher; it is becoming greater in character so God can take you higher in purpose.

Conclusion

Your next level is not determined by your opportunity, but by the spirit you carry.

Proverbs 18:16 NKJV
“A man’s gift makes room for him, and brings him before great men.”

The question is: have you developed the spirit required to enter it?

God does not only prepare opportunities for His people—
He prepares His people for opportunities.

Can God trust you with the room He wants to place you in?

Thank you so much ate Denise for sharing the Word of God. Keep shining so brightly for Jesus.

Comparison quietly steals our focus from what God has entrusted to us. It is easy to look at someone else’s gifts, confidence, or relationship with God and begin believing we need to become more like them in order to be used by Him. But God never created us to be copies.

Imagine an orchestra where every instrument tried to sound like a violin. There would be no richness, no depth, and no beauty. The music becomes powerful because each instrument contributes something unique that the others cannot. In the same way, God has designed each believer differently, with unique gifts, personalities, and callings that work together for His glory.

Throughout Scripture, God used people with vastly different personalities, backgrounds, and abilities. Moses, David, Peter, John, and Paul were nothing alike, yet God worked through each of them because they surrendered themselves to Him. Their differences were not obstacles to God’s purpose. They were part of it.

When we constantly compare ourselves to others, we become distracted by their race and neglect our own. We spend so much time wishing for someone else’s gifts, opportunities, or strengths that we overlook what God has already placed in our hands. God is not asking us to have someone else’s gifts, personality, or calling. He is asking us to faithfully steward what He has given us.

You are fearfully and wonderfully made, intentionally designed by God, and equipped with gifts that serve a purpose in His kingdom. Different gifts do not mean different value. They simply mean different assignments. Our goal is not to gain the approval of people, but to please the One who created us.

“Our greatest achievement in life is being the person God created you to be. “

Our biggest win is in becoming the person that God has created us to be and not who we desperately desire to be. Do not measure your achievement or progress based on what you can see. We might be nurses, carers, butchers, manager, welders, electricians in this world. But in the kingdom of God, we are all the same-God’s children. And as God’s children, you are made for a specific and special goal in life.

Ephesians 2:10: "For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do."

You are made to do good works for the Lord. It’s very clear in the verse. Your true success in life is defined by fulfilling that calling upon your life.
Once you miss your calling, you will not fulfill your purpose.

God is shaping you for a reason – to create beauty for Him! You are His “masterpiece” which He desires to express Himself through. And to do so He has prepared a custom-fit job for you.

When God described Paul as His “chosen instrument” (Acts 9:15). Same as Paul, God has selected you for special task because each of us are useful in different ways. That is why we have all different talents, skills and strength because God uses all of us to work together in unity for the ministry. God had assigned us intentionally in a specific task. We are God’s handiwork, shaped and selected by Him.

Sometimes we may not always get what we are shaped for. We may not even like it. We may even forget who actually does the shaping. But, who should do the shaping? It is God.

God Himself illustrates this when He called a young man, Jeremiah, to take a walk down to a Potters workshop. Read: Jer 18:1-6 God likens the nation of Israel (and us by extension) to moldable clay in the Potters hand. Clay is one of the most common, valueless material around. It doesn’t have an opinion, a will, a set of desires. But the Potter does. The Potter is in control & has an intention. God has an intention for you. There is a design in His shaping. A purpose in His pulling and stretching of your life.

So, what is the point of all this shaping? Ephesians 2:10b “…created in Christ Jesus to do good works…” Notice that the workshop or environment of all this shaping takes place in Christ. Another way of say this is that it happens when we are in a relationship with Jesus. When we rub shoulders with Him, experience Him, are identified with Him. That’s when the real molding of our characters begins.

Now each of us are unique. But there is a common thread of design in all of us. It’s like multiple works by a single artist. Each photo, sculpture or painting may vary in theme, but you can see a common “fingerprint” impressed upon all the works which point back to the Master. So, what is God’s “fingerprint.” What is the point of all His shaping in Your life?

The point of this shaping is “to do good works.” Now, don’t confuse this with some theological debate about Salvation. It has been said by a wise man, “we are not saved by good works, but saved to do good works.” Now, when I think about the idea of “WORK” I think of other words like labor, sweat, blisters, tiredness. We are co labors of Jesus in building the kingdom so we also do the work.

Our co-laboring with Jesus is all planned out. It’s already prepared. All we have to do it walk into them! This is the divine invitation– to join God in the work He is doing at the moment.

Remember, “no eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind imagined what God has in store for those who love Him.”

Glory to God for indeed we can always find encouragement and strength in His words..

Today we read and talked about the book of Esther. With everything that has been going on the past few days, the Lord led us to take a look at the book of Esther.

This book reminds us that God is never absent, even when His presence is difficult to see.
The Jewish people found themselves facing a crisis they did not create. They were judged collectively because of the actions and hatred of another person. Fear spread throughout the community. The future appeared uncertain.

Yet while God's people were worried about what might happen, God was already working.

The same remains true for us today.

Whatever uncertainty exists around us, God is still on the throne.

Whatever fears occupy our minds, God remains our refuge.

Whatever challenges may come, Christ remains with His people.

Our hope is not found in changing circumstances. Our hope is not found in public opinion. Our hope is not found in human promises.

Our hope is found in a faithful God who has never abandoned His people and never will.
Just as He was present with Esther, just as He protected His people in Persia, just as He watched over Jesus in Egypt, He remains present with us today.

Therefore, we can choose faith over fear, peace over panic, and trust over uncertainty, knowing that the God who held His people then still holds His people now.

Psalm 46:1-2
God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble. So we will not fear when earthquakes come and the mountains crumble into the sea.

Glory to God alone…

All glory to God for the victory of the caregroup🙏🏻🔥

‭‭Acts of the Apostles‬ ‭20‬:‭24‬ ‭NLT‬‬
“But my life is worth nothing to me unless I use it for finishing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus—the work of telling others the Good News about the wonderful grace of God.”

True success is finishing the work assigned to us by the Lord Jesus Christ. There is a specific kingdom assignment only YOU can do. Only YOU can be YOU.

‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭2‬:‭10‬ ‭NLT‬‬
“For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.”

We are God’s masterpiece, created for His purpose. When God created us He has a specific kingdom purpose and kingdom assignment in His mind.

Knowing our calling/assignment/purpose clearly will allow us to carry it out with great determination, endurance, and laser-focus.

Here’s some of the ways to help us to know what is our God-given calling and specific Kingdom purpose/assignment:

1. Visit our Creator

There is no one else who knows it, except the ONE who created us.

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭139‬:‭14‬-‭16‬ ‭NLT‬‬
“Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it. You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion, as I was woven together in the dark of the womb. You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed.”

God planned it long ago. He created us taking everything in consideration, all the things we would need to fulfil our kingdom assignment. Every day of our life was recorded in His book, every moment was laid out before a single day had passed. Everything is according to God’s perfect PLAN.

‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭29‬:‭11‬ ‭NIV‬‬
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

2. Start Serving

The key is just to start. Many have been waiting for the perfect time, to be mature first, to know more first and signs that this is the right calling before they actually start to serve the Lord, in the end they have failed to even start.

Until we’re actually involved in serving, we’re not going to know what we’re good at.

When God planned the masterpiece he would make of your life, He gave you certain gifts that would enable you to effectively do your kingdom assignment/kingdom purpose.

‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭4‬:‭9‬-‭10‬ ‭NIV‬‬
“Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling. Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.”

3. Be a pliable clay

‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭18‬:‭2‬-‭6‬ ‭NLT‬‬
““Go down to the potter’s shop, and I will speak to you there.” So I did as he told me and found the potter working at his wheel. But the jar he was making did not turn out as he had hoped, so he crushed it into a lump of clay again and started over. Then the Lord gave me this message: “O Israel, can I not do to you as this potter has done to his clay? As the clay is in the potter’s hand, so are you in my hand.”

God’s work is to shape us, our role is to remain pliable. Allowing Him to do so. ‭‭

Isaiah‬ ‭64‬:‭8‬ ‭NLT‬‬
“And yet, O Lord, you are our Father. We are the clay, and you are the potter. We all are formed by your hand.”

A clay must be pliable meaning easily bend or shaped without breaking. When clay is pliable it requires just a small amount of pressure to shape it. The opposite is true-when clay is stiff and resistant, a lot more pressure is needed to mould it the way the potter desires.

For us, being Pliable means— being mouldable, and willingly obedient to God’s will. Allowing God to work in us. Because before God can move through us He needs to make some work in us.

CONCLUSION:

There may be varieties or specific kingdom assignment or purpose for each one of us, but all are directed towards achieving our one and only mission, they are only different hows to do our mission— the great commission- winning souls and making disciples (Matthew 28:18-20).
