Sad news on our circuit this weekend as we announce the passing of Mr Ronnie Strong who served faithfully as a local preacher on our circuit for over 50 years.

Thoughts and prayers from everyone on the circuit are with his family at this sad time.

Strong: 23rd October 2026 (peacefully) at Causeway Hospital, Ronnie, 9 Woodview Park, Ballymoney, dearest husband of Helen, loving father of Karen, Mark, Jonny, dear father-in-law of Julie and Lynne, much loved granda of Adam and his wife Nadia, Daniel, Emma and Ryan, loving brother of Pat and the late Albert, Iris and Eva.

Service of Thanksgiving in Coleraine Methodist Church (kindly granted) on Wednesday at 1pm.

House strictly private. Family flowers only please.

Unfortunately, we have had to make the decision to cancel our Lighthouse event tomorrow due to the upgraded weather warning with the expected storm.

We are so disappointed but feel that it is in the interests of everyone's safety to make this decision.

Just a reminder that THIS SATURDAY is Lighthouse Saturday!!!

We are looking forward to more crafts, games, food and fun featuring Hope For Youth Ministries and a special Light Party.

Please, if you can, wear a bright colour and bring an item to support the food bank.

We look forward to seeing you on Saturday... please remember this is for everyone, you do not need to have a child with you to come and join the fun!

Enjoyable and thankful this morning in Portstewart Methodist Church for God’s provision of the harvest.

We celebrated everything harvest with some great harvest songs, a great sermon from Rev Sam Livingstone, communion and finished with a lovely lunch provided by the ladies.

“The faithful love of the Lord never ends! His mercies never cease. Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning.” (NLT)

Just a wee reminder about bringing kids to church:

If your kids are loud, please still come to church.
If you’re running late because getting everyone out the door was a battle, please still come to church.
If your toddler won’t sit still, please still come to church.
If your baby needs to eat, please still come to church.
If your child asks questions at the least convenient time, please still come to church.
If someone cries, drops a toy, needs a snack, or has to make their third trip to the bathroom, please still come to church.
If your child doesn’t know all the words, all the prayers, or exactly when to sit and stand, please still come to church.
If you feel like you spent the entire service managing your children and heard approximately 12% of the sermon, please still come to church.
If Sunday morning feels messy instead of peaceful, please still come to church.
If you’re worried your children are distracting the people around you, please still come to church.

Because children do not learn how to be part of the Church by staying home until they can sit quietly.

They learn by being here.
They learn the singing by hearing us sing.
They learn the prayers by hearing us pray.
They learn to worship by watching us worship.
They learn that church is home because we make room for them here.

The wiggles, whispers, dropped crayons, crying babies, and little voices are not interruptions to the life of the Church.

They are evidence that the Church is alive.

So bring the babies. Bring the toddlers. Bring the big kids. Come late. Sit in the back. Sit in the front. Step out when you need to and come right back in.

Just come.
Children are not simply the future of the Church. They are part of the Church right now. If we don’t make room for the next generation in the Church, we risk becoming a generation that leaves behind empty churches. The children in our pews today are the Church leaders, worshippers, and servants of tomorrow.
And at our Church there is a place for everyone.
