“The Lighthouse”

Another successful “All Age” worship group which meets 1 Saturday a month.

Whether you are 1 or 101 you are very welcome.

This months theme was “The Lost Sheep”.

We started off with “find the hidden sheep” and of course we only found 99, we followed that with a video and story about the lost sheep and an interactive game retelling the story. That was followed by hotdogs where we then made sheep buns for dessert and finished off making our own sheep puppets and a song.

Come join us for the next ones on 27th June in Coleraine and 1st August on the beach (weather permitting).

What a wonderful achievement for our Sadie Jefferson from our Portrush church.

Happy retirement from all your congregational friends in Portstewart, Portrush, Coleraine and Ballymoney Churches.

This week we celebrate the retirement of Sadie Jefferson following 75 years of service in the same pharmacy in Portrush.

Sadie Jefferson started working as a teenager in a small pharmacy in Portrush, beginning a lifelong dedication to caring for the local community from the same Main Street pharmacy.

Her warmth, dedication and commitment have made a lasting impact on generations of patients and customers across the town.

Over the years, Sadie has also been a passionate supporter of local fundraising efforts. From taking on several skydives to leading the charge in support of Action Cancer and other local charities, she has helped raise vital funds for causes that matter deeply within the community.

The photographs shared include a beautiful glimpse into her journey over the decades, including a special image from September 1951 showing Sadie with Mr John W. “Jack” McConaghy at the side of the Medical Hall in Main Street, Portrush. The photograph is shared with the kind permission of the McConaghy family.

Alongside Sadie in the first photograph is Lyndsay Sinclair, our Pharmacy Manager in Portrush, who has had the privilege of working alongside Sadie and celebrating this remarkable milestone with her.

Everyone at Gordons would like to thank Sadie for her lifelong dedication to community pharmacy and to the people of Portrush. We wish her a very happy and well deserved retirement.

☘️ This St. Patrick’s Day the President, the Rev Alan Wardlow is inviting the whole Connexion to join together for an intentional day of prayer for the Church.

We want to pray deeply and intentionally for God’s Spirit to renew and restore us, and to compel us to share the love of Jesus far and wide. Everyone is invited to join us in setting time aside on this date. A resource has been made available to guide your prayer time.
