This weekend is the Masonry weekend at Redbrook church. If you are passing please say hello or give them a friendly wave.

The church will be open all weekend for visitors to pop in.

Today looks like it will reach 35° C !🌞

Remember that our churches are open all day if you want to come and cool off - they are about 10° cooler, yesterday reaching only 25° in Newland and Staunton and 26° at the Good Shepherd Broadwell.

Many of you will remember Deb Orriss who was appointed as our Pioneer Evangelist in Mid Wyedean in 2020-2021 (unfortunately clashing with Covid Lockdown so limited it what events could be put on).
The great news is that she is about to be Ordained !

Members of Mid-Wyedean are invited to her Ordination to the Priesthood on 3pm on 27th June, at Gloucester Cathedral.

Let us know if you're going, and we can perhaps organise some car sharing?

ps She will preside at the Eucharist for the first time the day after on 28th June at 3pm. Details to follow

Farewell Sarah...

From Jane Kidger: As you will presumably know by now, our vicar Sarah Bick will be leaving in May for her new parish in Cornwall.

Farewell party: A farewell party is planned for Saturday 18th April 5pm-10pm at Coleford Baptist Church.
We would love to see all who can make it, for some or all of the evening, to celebrate with Sarah and Mark (and Isaac) after 13 years of ministry among us.

Tea/coffee, cake etc, served from 5pm and the full party buffet from 7pm-ish.
Ceilidh dancing at various points in the evening. 🪩 😀

It would be extremely helpful to know numbers, so if you haven’t already done so, please would you contact me (Jane) on [email protected] or 07840283847 to confirm your attendance.
Many thanks

Jane
