Thanks to Oaklea Montessori Colchester St John's for the donations for Colchester Foodbank given via our collection point in the church lobby. See the comments for items that the foodbank particularly need at the moment.

⭐ Food bank donations ⭐

At Oaklea Montessori nursery St John's, Oaklea staff have a 'Dress Down Friday', where you might have seen the staff wearing their casual clothes. This is in exchange for items staff donate for the local food bank. Today the nursery children kindly took the food items to St John's Church, where they were warmly greeted by Lorraine.

⭐ Reminder next week is half term and a Bank Holiday Monday. We look forward to seeing our All-Year round children next week and hope our term time children and staff have a lovely half term.

Kaleidoscope is for SEND children and young people with their families. If that includes your family then you would be welcome to join us this Sunday at 4pm to discover what we do during our time together, the new friends that you could make, the welcoming but relaxed atmosphere and the sandwiches and cake we eat together before finishing at 5:30pm. We'd love for you to join us in the St John's Church Community Centre, CO4 0HP.

What do you think it looked like when Jesus went back up to heaven? How would you have felt to see it happen? Would you have fainted in shock or would you be use to Jesus doing the unexpected? At Kaleidoscope this Sunday we are going to be focussing on Jesus' ascension and what he said to us before he left. Join us for sensory fun with cloud dough, mini lava lamps and of course lots of biscuits to decorate!
