St John's Orthodox Church. Russian Orthodox Church. Hours and Liturgy, every Sunday at 9am, Vigil Service, every Saturday at 5:30 pm. All are welcome.

We use the old calendar (Julian) and are composed of a number of Clergy of multiple nationalities; services are conducted with a combination of English, Church Slavonic and Romanian. Please note however, only Orthodox who have prepared and confessed may partake of the Holy Gifts. All Baptism and Wedding enquiries please ask at the Church or via Email/message. 🇬🇧Christ is Ascended!

Mr. Daniel and Mrs. Lăcrămioara from our parish created this beautiful shrine for Saint John Maximovitch, adorned with an original cassock of the saint.

We also thank Mr. Antonie who painted the icon of the Saint in a truly remarkable way.

We pray that Saint John Maximovitch, the great wonderworker, may protect us all and intercede before God for our community and for all those who seek his help with faith!

Domnul Daniel și doamna Lăcrămioara din parohia noastră au realizat această frumoasă raclă ce îl reprezintă pe Sfântul Ioan Maximovici, împodobită cu un veșmânt original al sfântului.

Mulțumim și domnului Antonie care a pictat chipul Sfântului într-un mod cu totul deosebit.

Ne rugăm ca Sfântul Ioan Maximovici, mare făcător de minuni, să ne ocrotească pe toți și să fie mijlocitor înaintea lui Dumnezeu pentru comunitatea noastră și pentru toți cei care îi cer ajutorul cu credință!

🇬🇧 29 March 2026 - With the blessing of His Eminence Archbishop Atanasie, our parish had the great joy of welcoming among us His Grace Nichifor Botoșăneanul, Vicar Bishop of the Archdiocese of Iași, together with Archimandrite Elisei Nedescu, Abbot of the “Holy Three Hierarchs” Monastery in Iași, and Archdeacon Dragoș Chelariu.

We sincerely thank them for their presence, for their service and for the word of teaching offered to our faithful. We pray that God grants them health, strength and help in all their spiritual work. We also thank all the faithful who were with us on this very special day! 🙏🏼

🇷🇴 29 Martie 2026 - Cu binecuvântarea Înaltpreasfințitului Arhiepiscop Atanasie, parohia noastră a avut bucuria deosebită de a-l primi în mijlocul nostru pe Preasfințitul Nichifor Botoșăneanul, Episcop-vicar al Arhiepiscopiei Iașilor, alături de Arhimandritul Elisei Nedescu, starețul Mănăstirii „Sfinții Trei Ierarhi” din Iași, precum și pe Părintele Arhidiacon Dragoș Chelariu.

Le mulțumim din suflet pentru prezență, pentru slujirea și cuvântul de învățătură oferit credincioșilor noștri. Ne rugăm ca Bunul Dumnezeu să le dăruiască sănătate, putere și ajutor în toată lucrarea lor duhovnicească. 🇬🇧 With the blessing of His Eminence Atanasie, Romanian Orthodox Archbishop of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, our parish will have the joy of receiving the pastoral visit of His Grace Nichifor Botoșăneanul, Vicar Bishop of the Archdiocese of Iași, who will officiate the Divine Liturgy. All faithful are invited to participate in this special moment in the life of the parish, for spiritual benefit and for the strengthening of unity in faith and Christian love!
