This Sunday we begin a new series at St Peter’s: Given by God. Shared for good.

We’ll be looking at 1 Corinthians 12–14 and asking what it really means to be a church family where Jesus is Lord, where God gives different gifts, and where those gifts are used for the good of others.

Our 10:30am Morning Service is for everyone, whether you come regularly or are just wondering what church is like. You would be very welcome.

St Peter’s Kids registration will be in church from 10:15am — not in the Hall. Children will stay in for the first part of the service, then go across to their groups later on. Refreshments afterwards.

This Sunday we begin "Given by God. Shared for good." — a new series from 1 Corinthians 12–14 about the gifts God gives, the love that should shape them, and how they are to be used for the good of others.

What happens when hidden things come into the light?

This Sunday (30th) at St Peter’s we finish our August series, Women of the Promise, with Tamar’s story in Genesis 38. It is one of the Bible’s most uncomfortable family stories — about injustice, hypocrisy, exposure, shame, and the surprising grace of God.

The Bible does not pretend human families are tidy or respectable. But it does point us to Jesus, who comes into the real human story to bear shame, deal with sin, and bring sinners into the family of God.

What do we do with the feeling that everyone else’s life is working better than ours?

This Sunday (23rd) at St Peter’s we continue 'Women of the Promise' with Leah and Rachel in Genesis 29 — a painfully honest story about comparison, longing, rivalry, and the ache of feeling overlooked or unloved.

The Bible does not pretend family life is simple, or that human love can carry all our hopes. But it does point us to the God who sees what others overlook, and to Jesus, whose love is strong enough to save.

This Sunday at St Peter’s we continue our 'Women of the Promise' series with Rebekah’s story in Genesis 27.

It is a story about family tensions, favouritism, secrets, and the longing to be chosen. It also points us to the God whose purposes are not defeated by human failure.

This Sunday at St Peter’s we continue our August series, "Women of the Promise".

We’ll be looking at the story of Sarah and Hagar in Genesis 16: a painful and honest story about waiting, control, hurt, and the longing to be seen. It shows us that the Bible does not divide people neatly into innocent sufferers and guilty sinners. It shows us wounded sinners, sinning sufferers — and the God who sees truly.

This Sunday (2nd August) we begin a new sermon series at St Peter’s: Women of the Promise.

Across August we’ll be looking at some of the women in Genesis — Eve, Sarah and Hagar, Rebekah, Leah and Rachel, and Tamar. These are not neat or sentimental family stories. They are honest stories of longing, shame, hurt, blame, injustice, and hope — and of the God who sees, seeks, and keeps his promises.

We begin this Sunday with Eve in Genesis 2–3, thinking about what happens when God’s good world breaks, and why the God we hide from comes looking for us.
