St Peter's, Colchester

St Peter's, Colchester St Peter's Church is at the heart of the city of Colchester. We are a community of Christians seeking to serve and love those around us...

05/06/2026

You’d be so welcome at StPeter's this Sunday.

Our morning service is at 10:30am, with children’s groups registration from 10:15am.

This week we’ll be thinking about Communion: why Christians share bread and wine, why it matters, and how it points us back to the heart of the Christian faith — Jesus giving himself for us.

Whether Communion is familiar to you, confusing to you, or completely new, Sunday will be a chance to slow down, hear the good news again, and remember that church is not for people who have it all together, but for people who need grace.

Come as you are. We’d love to welcome you.

Join us at St Peter’s this Sunday, 31st May. You’d be very welcome.

Our early BCP Communion service is at 9am, and our main service is at 10:30am. Children’s groups registration opens from 10:15am.

This week we’ll be exploring a sensitive but important passage about men, women, worship, and life together under Christ. It’s an invitation to think honestly about dignity, difference, service, and the grace Jesus gives to us all.

We’d love to see you.

You’d be so welcome at St Peter’s this Sunday.

We have a quiet early BCP Communion service at 9am, and our main service is at 10:30am. Children’s groups registration opens from 10:15am, so there’s time to get settled before we begin.

This Sunday we’ll be thinking about how faith shapes the whole of life, not just the obviously religious bits. How might our ordinary choices, meals, friendships, words, habits, and decisions become part of a bigger, better life lived for God’s glory?

Whether you’re a regular, returning after a while, or coming for the first time, we’d love to welcome you. Come as you are. There’s a place for you.

Join us this Sunday at St Peter’s as we continue our series on God’s guidance for life’s decisions.

This week, from 1 Corinthians 10, we’ll be asking: what is this doing to my soul?

It’s a passage that helps us see God’s warnings as loving, not harsh — calling us away from what weakens us and towards Christ, who is faithful, forgiving, and enough.

St Peter’s Kids registration from 10:15am in the Hall
