At 10.30am on Christmas day 2025 a service to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ will be held at Castle Methodist Church to which all will be welcome. Children bringing gifts that they have received will be invited to share their joy and no doubt the sixth verse of O come all ye faithful will be included. Please come along and try to be seated by 10.20 to avoid a last minute rush.

For several years the WEA (workers educational association) have rented classrooms at our church for a variety of courses, we have had to turn away other potential renters in order to ensure that rooms were available. WEA have now told us that they have closed the Colchester branch.
We have rooms available for rent, we prefer for educational classes but will listen to any genuine organisation.
Contact [email protected] giving details of your proposal and the day you want (not usually weekends or evenings) , along with a phone number and our lettings secretary will contact you to discuss our terms etc.

On Christmas morning Methodist churches in the Colchester area will meet at 10.30 am at The Well Methodist Church in Mile End to celebrate the anniversary of the birth of Jesus Christ.
The preacher will be Revd Chris Preece. All are welcome to join this service in person, as an alternative it can be watched as it happens on the Castle Methodist Church YouTube channel (search YouTube for Castle Methodist church and look for the circular stained glass window)or at your own convenience from about ten minutes after the service ends which should be about 11.30 am.
The next service at Castle Methodist Church will be at 10.30 am on Sunday 29 December.

ALL our morning services can be watched live on YouTube. We go live about 10.20 am every Sunday for a 10 30am (UK time) start.
You can join part way through if you cant make 10.30 and at any time after the service has ended you can watch it, and most of our previous services, as you choose to.
Just go to YouTube and search for Castle Methodist church and pick the one with the round stained glass window. All the past services are lined up there for you to settle down and enjoy. Each lasts about an hour.

As we approach Christmas we have services at 10.30 am on Sunday 15th when Eddie leads us to consider 'to fear or not to fear' then on 22nd we sing our hearts out with a selection of Christmas carol's whilst we consider the birth of Christ in detail as we listen to both bible readings and other written material concerning the origins of this great festival.
There will be mince pipes and chatter to follow ALL are welcome to attend these services of celebration and support.
