Quiz Night at the Wivenhoe Congregational Church 7pm tonight. We have had some teams drop out from the above, so we now have some places available. £6 per person. Teams of up to 6. We have 2 events coming up at the church for Christmas.
Our Victorian Christmas Fayre is the 6th December from 10am-4pm. We still have a few spaces available. Please contact Ian or Sue Biffen on 01206 511842 if you would like a stall.
Carol Concert with First Class Brass 12th December at 7pm.

We have an Autumn Fayre at the Wivenhoe Congregational Church from 10am-4pm today. Various stalls. Bacon rolls from 10am. BBQ from 1pm.

Dear community, for some years now, our church hall has been block-booked for four mornings a week up until 2.30 in the afternoon, effectively preventing many opportunities for regular daytime use. Almost all of the storage space was taken up by this one hirer. It is now free...

We now have the opportunity to re-allocate the use of this community asset and invest in it to suit its longer term use.

We would welcome any community groups or organisations looking for a new base to talk to us about how the hall might fit their needs. If this develops into a mutually beneficial relationship, we can invest in the fabric of the hall to ensure that it meets the needs of its long-term tenants.

We need to make better use of the building, but the way to do this is to sit down and talk with potential users.

We still intend to carry on with occasional hires for community users, but the vacation of our longer term tenant now gives us the opportunity to take stock and find out what people need.

We have a quiet carol service at the Wivenhoe Congregational church today at 3pm for those who find Christmas difficult.
