Brigham Methodist Church

Brigham Methodist Church We are a small, friendly village church located in the centre of the village of Brigham. Renovation of the Church started on 11th June 2012.

A new central heating system, disabled toilet, re-rendering of the front wall, repairs to the roof, pews removed and chairs installed and other minor works. £95,500 has been raised for the project through grants ,donations and local fund raising. We will be updating the building progress on this page over the next few weeks. Many thanks to everyone who's helped.

Some will remember a concert Sam Weakley did last year, he is doing another on Saturday 12th September at 2pm in the Chapel. More information about the programme later. Sam and Hannah are presently doing Carmen in Kendal with Cumbria opera.

Hi, we are looking to recruit a few volunteers to help deliver a new quarterly community newsletter in the Brigham and Greysouthen area. The newsletter (called JIGSAW) aims to let ALL OUR RESIDENTS know of acitivities and events that are happening. The first edition will be printed next week.

Whether or not people believe that Jesus is the Son of God, the Christian message invites us to see every person as a child of the one Creator, whom Jesus taught us to call "Our Father." What makes Jesus unique is that he reveals the very heart of God and shows us what divine love looks like in human form. He came not merely to be admired, but to teach us how to live.
Now, in his physical absence, we are called to continue that work. Christ's compassion is seen through our kindness, his hands through our service, his feet through our willingness to go where love is needed, and his voice through our words of hope and encouragement. For many people who cannot yet perceive the Spirit of Christ, the only Christ they may ever encounter is the one reflected in the lives of those who choose to love as he loved.
To be the Body of Christ is not to replace him, but to make his presence visible in a world that still longs for healing, justice, mercy, and peace.
