This morning's reading and activity was based on Matthew chapter 9 verse 37: Jesus says, β€œThe harvest is plentiful, but the Labourers are few.” Our leader's interpretation of this was that the harvest represents people who need care, cheering up, or to be told about God's love. The problem is that the Labourers are few but Jesus invites us all to be the "Labourers" by being helpful, sharing and showing kindness. Sometimes just a smile to someone can cheer up their day and they will not feel like a piece of fruit hanging forgotten on the tree. Even our regular furry friend wanted to join in with the activity this morning πŸΆπŸΎπŸ˜Šβ˜ΊοΈπŸ˜€πŸ˜πŸŒžπŸπŸ‹πŸπŸ‡πŸ“πŸŠπŸŽπŸŒπŸ₯°

Tomorrow morning's service at 11:00am is Family Church and we will be doing an activity fitting in with it being Ascension Sunday. The Ascension is when Jesus made his final visit to his disciples and told them he would always be with them, as well as promising them the gift of the Holy Spirit. He took them to the Mount of Olives, where it's believed they watched him ascend to heaven. 'Ascension' means rising to a higher level.
We look forward to you joining us. As always, tea/coffee will be served after the service.☁️☁️☁️☁️☁️
