Every Wednesday at 11am, a few of us (Jane, Carol, Dawn, Laura – hi! 👋) meet at Hope Community Church on Shelly Drive. No pressure, no fancy gear – just a relaxing walk, good company, and a cuppa and a chat afterwards.

Whether you want to get a bit more active, need some support, or just fancy getting out of the house and meeting new faces, you’d be so welcome.

Our 12-week journey through The 3S’s of Sobriety has now completed – and we’re excited to launch our brand-new course:

3 R's for Recovery.
🔍 Reveal – Identify the root causes of addiction.
🕊️ Release – Offering practical ways to be released from life-controlling issues.
🌱 Recover – Insightful information on how to recover into the person you were supposed to be.

Join us this Monday for Hope for Recovery – your weekly space for healing, hope, and real transformation! 💙✨

Funeral Announcement: Mr Steven John Maxwell Elder

It is with deep sadness that we share the news of the passing of Mr Steven John Maxwell Elder, aged 42. Steven was a dear friend, and a devoted "Dog Dad" to his beloved dog, Jock. Originally from the Possilpark area of Glasgow, Steven was well-known locally in Clydebank.

Steven passed away peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital on Thursday the 23rd of April 2026, after living with terminal cancer for many months. Throughout his journey, Steven always spoke incredibly fondly of the warmth and support he received from the community at Hope Community Church Clydebank.

Steven’s funeral will take place on Thursday the 4th of June at 13:30pm at Clydebank Crematorium.

We would like to welcome all who knew Steven to join us in celebrating his life.
