River of Life Church is a group of local people who meet together share and experience the life-changing good news of Jesus Christ, and to share this with the communities of the Lower Swansea Valley River of Life Church is a group of local people of all ages who meet together to discover the extraordinary love that God has for us, our friends and our community. We aim to serve the communities of t

he Clydach, Pontardawe and the surrounding villages, and will be continuing to share the message of hope and new life which we have found in Jesus Christ. Headed up by Richard and Jo Steadman, Chris and Sian Pavett and Matthew and Natasha Rees (with support from Oaklands Church, Ystradgynlais), the Church currently meets at Vardre Road, Clydach every Sunday morning at 10.30am, with our prayer meeting on Tuesdays at 7pm. Whether it’s your first time at one of our Sunday meetings, or whether you've never been to church before, it helps to know that you’ll be in a friendly, relaxed, and welcoming setting!

Christmas Carols in Cwmtwrch!
This Saturday (29th Nov from 10:30am) we'd love you to join us down at The Old School Nursery in Lower Cwmtwrch (SA9 2TD) for some classic Christmas Carols. We are joining up with our friends from The Mission in Cwmtwrch to bring some fantastic festive cheer to the nursery while the customers are picking out their Christmas trees and decorations! Feel free to join in or to just enjoy the music as you shop.

SUMMER 2025 - IMPORTANT NOTICE!
Through the summer holidays, all of our mid-week activities will be taking a much-needed break. That means that Little Buds, YoYo, Encounter (Youth), Young Adults, Tuesday Club and Wednesday Prayer will all be resting until September.

As well as this, our Sundays will be changing to meeting just in the morning at 10:30am, replacing the Sunday Evening Oaklands meeting, as well as the morning meetings of our branch churches. (Please note that River Of Life Church in Clydach will still be meeting on Sunday mornings at 10:30am.)

We are taking this time to rest, restore and get ready to run in September when everyone is back from holidays!

This means that this coming Sunday (20th July) will be the last Sunday, until Sep 7th, that we have a 5pm meeting at Oaklands. We look forward to welcoming you back after the rest!

As part of the SHINE YSTRADGYNLAIS event, we'll be putting on a free family fun day running from 12-3pm on Saturday 13th July.

Well have:
-Free BBQ
-Family Olympics
-Live music
-Cakes and refreshments
-NERF battle arena
-Facepainting
-Balloon modelling

The event is organised by two local churches - the Mission (Cwmtwrch) and Oaklands Church (Ystradgynlais)
