So called Jehovah's Witnesses still in the area. I just spoke to some at The Creamery Can. I'm posting this comment so they can come and talk further if they want - I had to leave very promptly. I left them with two simple challenges about the obvious divinity of Jesus (which they deny) right throughout the New Testament:
- The God they refer to as Jehovah provides miracle bread in the wilderness in the Old Testament. What does Jesus do in Mark 6?
- In Job 9:8 we are told that Jehovah alone "treads upon the high waves of the sea." (their own translation). What is Jesus doing in Mark 6:45-51?
I could go on. I would love these individuals to come to know and love Jesus.

Just a warning - there's a group going round the village at the minute claiming to be Christians, known as Jehovah's Witnesses.

They look like Christians and on first sight they sound like Christians but they teach things that aren’t in the Bible and their teachings will not save you. They don't know Jesus.

Their claims sound plausible when they present them but they really don't stack up on closer inspection. We're happy to show you how and why.

If you want to find out more about Jesus - please come and ask. We love to talk about him.

Do you have any hope?
Whoever you are, whatever you’re thinking, Hope Explored is a place for you to discover the hope of a future that is better than you could ever imagine.
📆 Wednesday 🕗 8pm, 📍 the Mill in Cloughmills.
Hope Explored is an informal and relaxed three-week course. It’s for anyone who wants to find hope, peace and purpose in life. It’s run by ordinary Christian people local to you and is completely free. You don’t need to know anything about the Bible, and you won’t be asked to pray or sing. You can ask any question you like, or you can just sit and listen.
