Thank you to all who contributed to the recent, successful table top sale with crafts and cake. The home made cakes were much appreciated, thank you also to the charming ladies serving them. We received some generous donations and going forward we are very thankful to Christine and Steve from The Swan With Two Necks who are selling Christmas hearts to decorate a special tree which can be viewed next to the pub, donated by Edward at Pendleton Christmas Trees https://www.facebook.com/schofieldfarm1/

Did you know that heritage crime falls under the responsibility of our Rural Task Force?

Heritage crime is any criminal activity that damages or threatens historic sites, buildings, monuments, or artifacts that are legally protected for their cultural significance.

With the Fylde coast’s stunning architecture, it’s no surprise that Historic England lists 205 listed buildings across Fylde.

Unfortunately, we’ve recently seen an increase in lead thefts from churches in the area. This type of crime can cause serious damage to these historic buildings and lead to significant repair costs.
In response, the Fylde Rural Task Force has been visiting affected properties and making enquiries to identify those responsible.

It’s encouraging to see many churches already taking steps to protect themselves, including anti vandal paint, state of the art CCTV, and improved lighting. These measures make it harder for criminals to strike, and we’re committed to working with our communities to keep these treasured sites safe.

If you see anything suspicious or have information that could help, please report it to us. Together, we can protect our heritage.

Good afternoon,

The chair pictured has been stolen from St Mary's Church, Gisburn, unfortunately the time frame we have is currently between Sunday 9th November and Friday the 15th November.

The chair is the "Bishops" chair dated from 1703, as well as being of significant value the chair is an important part of local church history.

If you saw anything suspicious or have any information you believe may assist with our investigation please contact me via email [email protected]

Thank you

PC Dave Green
