Getting back in to LIFt for the Autumn term was great! We continued our journey through the Old Testament looking at Joshua and the Wall of Jericho, the children learned that even though God may have not chosen the most conventional way for the walls for fall - He kept his promises and gave the promised land to His people. Joshua 1:9 reminded us "Be strong and courageous... for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go".
We even had a go at making our own horns and making some funny noises with them - thankfully the walls of the church stayed in tact!

After that the children played games and tried out our new Gymnastics Equipment and Giant Bowling set! It was a brilliant evening!

Last night the LIFt Seniors had their Summer Party and a big craft event. The kids were asked to make a craft display based on the idea of Summer. Both teams decided on beach themed pictures using cotton wool for clouds, real shells for the beach and pipe cleaner palm trees.
It was brilliant fun watching your children and their creative minds work.

It was the LIFt Juniors summer party yesterday and we had a blast! After party food (which consisted of the children basically choosing a plate of cake and biscuits from the buffet!) we all went in to the hall for the LIFt Junior challenge where the teams split in to two and took on various activities like building a tall tower, arranging coloured balls in to hoops and the egg and spoon race - with a twist!

All in all it was a great evening! Thank you guys! We had such fun!!

Last night LIFt hosted the FIFA 2026 World Cup.
After a nail biting game which left us with bated breath until the last minute … England pulled it through. Why do you do this to us every time guys!!

So tonight LIFt hosted the World Cup 2026! Utter Chaos but after some high energy cheering (and a little genuine prayer from a few of our youngsters!) England came out on top!

⚽️ LIFt SUPER FOOTBALL SPECIAL! ⚽️

We will be hosting the FIFA 2026 this Wednesday at LIFt and will be starting at the slightly earlier time of 5:00pm (Finishing the usual time). Children will be allowed to bring one pillow, blanket (not duvet) and one mascot each in a name marked carrier bag.

Hot Dogs, Popcorn and Half Time Tuck will be provided and we will also be learning a little bit about the rules of God’s Kingdom too!

Last night at LIFt Juniors we brave the heat to meet up and learn a little bit more about Moses because his story didn’t end with a freeing of Gods people from Egypt. He went on to receive the 10 Commandments from God, which are some of the cornerstones of Christian example. We talked about if rules were a good thing and everyone agreed that rules are there for a reason and God’s rules are no exception. They help us be the best version of ourselves and to be more Christlike.

We talked about how Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to be our conscience and guidance and help us make the right decisions and to follow God’s rules for our lives.

This week we looked at the story of Moses and how God rescued his people from slavery in Egypt. People today remember this event as “Passover” as I thought what better way to remember this part of God’s story than with a game of Passover pass the parcel.
The children took turns at passing the present around and each layer contained a hidden word which made up a message related to Moses journey. Together we learnt that God not only did amazing things through Moses but that he can do amazing things through ordinary people like you and me as well. 🙏❤️
