Today (Sunday 24 May) is Pentecost, or Whitsunday, which celebrates the birth of the Christian Church when the Holy Spirit inspired the first disciples to go out and proclaim to everyone the good news of Jesus' life, death and resurrection. Churches Together in Seascale and District invite you to a united celebration this afternoon at 3pm at St Cuthbert's Church, Seascale, with Phoenix Praise providing the music. Everyone will be made very warmly welcome.

This Sunday afternoon at 3pm, all the churches in the Seascale and Gosforth area will jointly be celebrating the Feast of Pentecost at St Cuthbert's Church, Seascale at 3pm. Everyone is very warmly welcome to our service: members of any church or none. Phoenix Praise will be singing from around 2.30pm. If the weather is extremely still and sunny there's a chance the service may happen oitside the church: feel free to bring a chair or rug just in case!

Everyone is "Welcome to Worship" with Gosforth Methodist congregation this evening (Sunday 17 May) in St Mary's Room at 6.30pm, with Rev Emma Holroyd. Also at 4pm Phoenix Praise are providing the music for Egremont Methodist Church's 150th anniversary celebrations, Rev Richard Teal will be preaching and there will be refreshments afterwards. We would love to see you at either or both events!

Gosforth Methodist congregation are delighted to welcome Rev Dr Wendy Kilworth-Mason to lead our service this evening (Sunday 3 May) at 6.30pm in St Mary's Room. The service will also be 'Zoomed' and everyone will be made warmly welcome. Wendy is going to be looking at the topic of martyrdom!

We're delighted to welcome Andrew Murray as our speaker, and his topic will be 'What is the gospel?' Everyone is very warmly welcome to come along and join in the discussion, ask questions, have a good sing - or just sit and listen!- and enjoy some chocalatey refreshments afterwards. The service will also be 'Zoomed' as usual.

Everyone is very warmly welcome to our service this evening (Sunday 19 April) at 6.30pm in Saint Mary's Room, Gosforth. In this joyful Easter season of spring and new life we shall be focussing on another of the Resurrection appearances of Jesus to his disciples. Did Jesus really rise from the dead? What is the evidence? Questions, discussion, hymns and songs new and old, and a warm welcome await. Service hosted by Gosforth Methodist congregation.
