We are a group of sinners, who have been saved by Jesus Christ. We meet each week to have fellowship together and feed from God's word.

We want to share the life changing good news with people who live with us on Cleator Moor.

A very merry Christmas to you all, we had a beautiful morning spent with family singing carols, eating some beaut food, enjoying the lords table and playing some christmas Pictionary. Remember to savour the saviour today! Big love to you all!

Carols are here at church on the moor, and it’s definitely feeling like Christmas! 🎄 The musicians might disagree, though - those carols aren’t easy to play 😂. Join us at the civic hall for a carol service with the masons, where Pastor Joe will be sharing a short gospel talk. Please come along and enjoy the music, or pray with us for Joes talk to touch hearts and for the spirit to move through the word of God! - Merry Christmas!!

Big love to everyone who came along to our Santa’s Grotto this year 🎄 It was such a joy to welcome you all in and spend the day together as a community ❤️

Huge thanks to all the legends from Church on the Moor who gave up their time to serve, and a massive shout out to Chelsea, Penny, Joe and John for all the behind-the-scenes graft that made it happen!

We really hope everyone who came felt the love we have for each other and for Cleator Moor.

Last night at Bible study, we were thinking about how we encourage one another and why church really matters.

We’ve set ourselves a small but intentional challenge this week: encourage three other Christians, however we can.

Colossians 3:16-17

“Let the word of Christ dwell richly among you, in all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another through psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts. And whatever you do, in word or in deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.”

McDonald’s might not be the usual spot for an elders meeting, but it was a great time! We dived into church life on the moor and how we can support one another.

This week, our elders John and Joe had the privilege of travelling to Seoul, South Korea for the East Meets West event as part of the World Evangelical Alliance (WEA) meetings hosted by SaRang Church.

We’ve been deeply blessed by fellowship with pastors and leaders from around the world, hearing stories of how the Lord is powerfully at work in so many nations and churches.

The faith and prayerfulness of our brothers and sisters at SaRang Church has especially touched our hearts, they have been faithfully praying for us since before we planted our church, and it was such a joy to finally meet some of them face to face and thank them for holding us up in prayer. 🙏

We also enjoyed down time to rejoice in the beauty of Seoul, take in its incredible sights, and share some amazing food together! 🍜🌆

We return home encouraged, refreshed, and thankful for what God is doing, the Church of Christ is alive and growing across the world! 🌍❤️

We were also struck by what a blessing we have in our own church with Stan Marsland stepping in to lead the church service on Sunday while we were away and Gary Brown for preaching for the church in our absence, and as always the amazing Nathan Walkingshaw for leading the music with Calvin Smye and Sarah. What you guys do for the church sometimes feels like it goes unnoticed but we are blessed to have you all serve and love our church family!

We can’t wait to see our brother and sisters today at church to share our encouragement from the church in Korea and worship our Lord together!

We started our new series on Luke today, Joe took us through the preface of Luke in ch1:1-4… just a reminder if you miss any of the sermons you can find them all on our website and on any of the podcast platforms, just search Church on the Moor and it should come up 😊 also, if your wondering why our pastor is preaching in a sombrero, we had the same question but it’s easier not to ask sometimes 😂
