Was good to be at the reopening of the Marygate Packhorse Bridge in Barton Village this morning. A bridge used by generations over the years, now restored by North Yorkshire Council. for generations to come. A great crowd gathered as Rishi Sunak cut the ribbon. A great gathering, and amazing coffee, tea and cakes in the village hall afterwards.

A huge thank you to everyone who came along to Messy Church Harvest this afternoon in Middleton Tyas Memorial Hall. We made crumble, did fruit stamping, made conker snails and hedgehogs, Cheerios bird feeders, stone decorating, clay leaf stamping. We said thank you to God for the harvest, prayed for our farmers and all their crops and animals and we are yummy Krispie cakes!
Thank you to everyone who helped make it happen, donated millions of apples and conkers.
Here's to the next Messy Church...Christingle on Sunday 6th December at 4pm in Middleton Tyas Church.

We had such a fun evening in Barton village hall last night for Barton Church harvest thanksgiving and quiz. We ploughed the fields and scattered, and gave thanks to God for creation, praying for our farmers, crops and animals, and for those across the world who don't have enough to eat. The quiz, led by Andrew and Sarah was lots of fun, won by Pat and Chris, and we drew the autumn church raffle. The hall was decorated beautifully by Anne, the kitchen manned by Betty and helpers and everyone got stuck in at the end to clear up.
The food will go to Kings Church food bank in Darlington and St Teresa's Hospice.
Thank you to everyone who came along and supported.
