The Parish of Great Clacton, including our two churches: St John the Baptist (in Great Clacton village), and St Mark's (Lymington Avenue)

Our current pattern of Sunday services:

9am - St John's
10:30am - St Mark's

We also have a midweek service on Wednesdays, 11am at St Mark's. We do have a short online service on YouTube which goes out at 11am each Sunday, but we are encouraging people to come on Sundays. Our YouTube channel is here: https://youtube.com/c/GreatClactonParish

It's Tea Time Church again 4pm tomorrow afternoon, 6th September, at St John's Church! All welcome for crafts and games, bible story and songs, tea and chat!

Our joint service on Sunday, held outside, was a wonderful celebration of thanksgiving focusing on God's faithfulness, kindness and care. We celebrated the gift of our Church Hall which has been used in so many ways for around 45 years (and it was pre-loved when we got it!), and we look forward with thanks to our new Church Hall, which we hope will be in place by this time next year. Some of us also braved the heat for a picnic lunch in the Vicarage garden.

We will be having a joint service to give thanks for God's goodness in St John's Churchyard this Sunday, 9th August at 10.30am. All welcome! If you'd like to bring a picnic, you are welcome to join us in the vicarage garden for lunch afterwards.

We're all ready to welcome the children to this Summer's Holiday Club where we'll be hearing about The Prophet, The Giant Fish and God's love.....the adventures of Jonah.
It's not too late to join us, 9.45 tomorrow and every day until Friday, with our special Holiday Club Sunday service, 11am, all at St John's, see you there!

Our holiday club for primary school age children is starting next Monday 20th July! It will be lots of fun and there are still spaces left! To book a place please get in touch with the Church Office at St John's.

It's our last Tea Time Church before the summer holidays this Sunday, 5th July at St John's Church. All are very welcome!

Twelve of us tackled the heat for Craft Group. We had fun making a decorated folded box with decorated cards to go inside.
Craft Group takes a break for the Summer, back on 30th September when we'll be using dried flowers and grasses to decorate a container. For more information contact the Church Office Great Clacton Parish

It's Lego Church again at St John's this Sunday afternoon 21st June at 4pm. Come and build Lego, watch a Lego bible story video and learn more about Jesus. As it's the last one before the summer holidays we're having pizza too! All welcome!
