DISCERN

“So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares?” (Matthew 13: 27)

That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.

When the servants of the householder awoke from their slumber, they noticed that there had been an infiltration into the field. They noticed that tares had begun to grow side by side with the wheat. Notice that tares looked similar to wheat, but these servants were able to figure that something negative had been introduced into the field. They were not blind to the deception of the enemy of the householder.

Friend, I pray for you: may your eyes be open to see the deception of the enemy. May your eyes be open to discern satanic infiltrations that are happening around you. May your eyes be open to see the negativities that the enemy has introduced into your life. May your eyes be open to see where the tares are growing side by side with your wheat. May your eyes be open to see the enemies toying with your destiny.

I pray for you: you will not be blind to the deception of the enemy. You will not be blind to the wicked plans of those who are approaching you with smiling faces. You will not be blind to the wickedness of those who are plotting your downfall. You will not be blind to the wickedness of your adversaries. You will not be blind to the satanic arrangements that have been made in a bid to deceive you and spoil your ‘fields’.

Wherever the enemy already began to deceive you, I pray that your eyes be opened already. May your eyes be open to see the loopholes that the enemy is about to exploit against you. May your eyes be open to see the evil men that are pretending to be on your side. May your eyes be open to see the wickedness that wants to consume you. May your eyes be open to see where you are making room for your own downfall.

Welcome to that season where the eyes of your understanding will be enlightened to see through the plans of the enemy. Welcome to that season where you will see it before it happens.

2 Corinthians 2: 11 says: “Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.”

Declare With Me: I will not be deceived by the works and plots of the enemy, in Jesus’ name!

THE MISSING LINK IN CHURCH GROWTH AND IMPACT

Once your ideas, your products, or your services can no longer serve people, they will move on. People may love you, but they also love themselves.

In a conversation on church, state, and nation-building, a question was asked: What is the problem with the Church? The answer is simple: the issue is not the Church itself, but the content of our teachings.

Because the power of transformation lies in the quality of teaching. Lasting impact comes from teachings that are:
- Scripture-based
- Quality and sound
- ⁠Balanced and holistic
- Life-applicable and practical

When teaching is done right, it produces people who are refined, responsible, empowered, and effective. But when it is lacking, it produces the opposite.

There is a need for a serious upgrade, not just in what we teach, but in how we teach it. While much has been done, there is still more work to be done.

NO BAD NEWS

“But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also.” (Matthew 13: 26)

That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.

According to our Focal Scripture, when the wheat that was rightly planted by the owner of the field sprung up, the tares also appeared. The good seed that was planted by the owner of the field sprouted, but the tares also showed up alongside the wheat. The good seed that was planted by the field owner, brought forth increase; but so also did negativity arise and grow. The good news of the wheat, existed side by side with bad news.

Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: your good news will not exist side by side with bad news. What the Lord is doing in your life will not exist side by side with what the enemy is doing. Your congratulations will not be mixed with bitter tears. Your new season will not witness a mix of the good and the bad. What the Lord has prepared for you, will not be said to work against you. Your good news will not be a platform for bad news.

I pray for you: your good news will not bring you bitter tears. Your good news will not come with pain and disgrace. Your good news will not cause men to gather to tell you sorry. Your good news will not be polluted by the enemy. Your good news will not be messed up by the powers of hell. Your good news will not be undermined by those whose stock in trade is to fight you when the good arrives. Your good news will not be infiltrated with evil.

Every enemy that has vowed that your good news will fetch you bitter tears, I decree, let their wickedness backfire on them. Any evil system that wants to ensure that you cry in the midst of your laughter and good news, let the fire of God answer them. Let the fire of God wipe out every altar of hell that is cooking wickedness to be served on the day of your good news. Let the fire of God wipe out every system that wants to crumble you.

The season of your good news being mixed with bad news, is over. The season when the powers of hell will make a mess of what the Lord has done for you, is over.

James 1: 17 says: “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.”

PERSONALIZED BATTLES

“But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way.” (Matthew 13: 25)

That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.

In our Focal Scripture, after the owner of the field sowed good seed in his field, his enemy came and sowed tares amongst his wheat and went his way. This particular enemy was called ‘his enemy’. It was not just some random enemy. It was not just some random fellow. It was not a random passer-by. It was his enemy. It was an enemy that was personalized against him. It was an enemy that came specifically against him.

Friend, any personalized battle that the enemy has cooked up for you, I command it to scatter by fire. I come against every satanic man that has arisen against you. I come against every conspiracy that has your name on it. I come against every gathering that the enemies of your destiny have set up against you. I come against any tailor-made negativity that has your name on it. I come against every enemy that is working against you.

This particular enemy was not necessarily everyone’s enemy; it was called ‘his enemy’. If he told someone that he had an enemy, the person may not understand because it was not a general enemy. There are times when it seems that you are the only one fighting a particular battle. Some people may not even understand your battle because you are fighting alone. Every personalized battle against you ends now.

Today I decree, that battle is over. That attack of the enemy is over. That battle in your health is over. That conspiracy that wants to reduce you, is over. That trap that the enemy set for you in your home, is over. That trap that the enemy set in your destiny journey, I decree, you will not fall into it. You will not be a victim of negativity. You will not be a victim of whatever your adversaries have crafted against you.

The season where your enemies will prevail against you, is over. I decree, you will not be the victim of any enemy.

Deuteronomy 28: 7 says: “The LORD shall cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thy face: they shall come out against thee one way, and flee before thee seven ways.”

Declare With Me: Every enemy that is poised against me, let fire answer, in Jesus’ name!

"All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any." 1 Corinthians 6:12.

Time is a collection of moments, occasions, and happenings. This is why 'time' highlighted in Ecclesiastes 3 is marked by what happened within it. Although seasons are greater than time, they are hollow if the right moments and occasions do not happen within them.

Mastery over time begins by knowing what time it is, but it does not end there. True mastery over time, which is how we create margins in our time and lives is determined by our understanding of what happened, is happening, or will happen with the time blocks contained in every season.

This will require discernment, the ability to know what is happening. It will also require understanding, which is the capacity to process meaning out of your moments. Most importantly, it will require wisdom, which is the ability to plug or connect that understanding to your seasons so you can thrive in it.

Time, therefore, is only meaningful because of what happens in it. There is a correct analysis and decoding that we all must bring to our engagement with time, other wise, our time would not deliver. Perhaps it is why the two ways we relate with time primarily are either to waste or spend it.

The question today is, which are you doing?.

Father, teach me to engage, decode, and deploy time for your glory. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
