The Porch at St Barbara's has been tidied up and new lighting put in that displayed at night the liturgical colour of the season. This being Ordinary Time we are Green. We imagine many of you will not see this at this point when it's daylight for 18 hours a day, unless you do late night walks. But will be very effective in the winter.

CONGRATULATIONS FATHER KIERAN BURT
Ordained at St Joseph's Church

We offer our warmest congratulations to Fr Kieran Burt, who was ordained to the Sacred Priesthood by Bishop Joseph Toal yesterday, 19 June, at St Joseph’s Church, Blantyre.

At 25 years old, local man Kieran has the accolade of being Scotland’s youngest priest. His ordination is a joyful occasion for the Diocese of Motherwell. Congratulations to Kieran and we wish him every success in this new chapter of his career.
