The acclaimed Rivington and Adlington Brass Band will perform all the traditional favourites with a few extras thrown in. Our bottle bar will be open. This afternoon the parish was subjected to a good grilling at St Pauls Church Club Adlington. Here are some candid photographs of the fun at our parish barbecue.

We were saddened to learn of the death of Frank Ince, a loyal, devout and well-loved member of our congregation.

Frank was a loving husband to Eileen, father to Craig and Neil, and grandfather to Poppy Louise. In his professional life, he was a bookbinder. He was a committed and reliable member of our church, whose steadfastness and wisdom were appreciated by everyone in the congregation.

His faith in Jesus was quiet and unassuming. He served St Paul’s loyally in many ways over the years, including as an altar server, communion administrant, PCC member and for many years as a dutiful Churchwarden. He was an example to everyone of Christian love, and we will remember him with great affection.

Frank’s funeral will be a Requiem Mass on Thursday 20th August at 12.15 pm at St Paul’s. May he Rest in Peace and Rise in Glory ✝️🙏

Panic over Houdini Gaby is busy eating food in utility. We have had the vicarage upside down looking for her. She found a really good hiding place hope she tells so I can hid from the wife lol 😆 😂 🤣 Fr G
