Some photos from the 60th anniversary of the Rossendale chapel.

President Eastwood is shown with the Mayor, Cllr. Liz McInnes, who enjoyed her time there. He said “Our Open House was a real success with many visitors from other units who had a history with our building. Many were baptised there and some married there. We had four members of our Branch that we hadn’t seen for quite some time and eleven people who were not members of the Church. I cannot express my gratitude for all the hard work of the members of the Branch who helped make it such a success”.

On a romantic note, two couples actually met years ago, for the first time in that very chapel, brother and sister Cryer and brother and sister Carter. Also displayed was the world map, showing all the many places Rossendale members were called to serve. Many of the rooms showed different aspects of the Gospel including local organisations supported in many different ways by the members.

A gentle reminder that if you are attending the celebration of the life of sister Donna Hargreaves, she requested that we wear a pink clothing item or where not possible, something pink, a scarf, a tie, a rosette or any pink item. It’s 2pm tomorrow, Thursday, at the Chorley Stake Centre.
