Let’s get a great service done with as many as possible. Balsam bashing at Cuerden Valley Park Saturday 27 morning 9.30 at the Ley Inn.

For those helping with the Balsam Bashing this Saturday 27 at Cuerden Valley Park, we are meeting at the Ley Inn at 9.30 and it’s being led by Bishop Dudley Chorley 2 but we want to invite all who can take part.

Ley Inn, Back Lane, Clayton-le-Woods, Chorley, Lancashire, PR6 7EU.

Wear stout shoes, tough gardening gloves, long sleeves and long pants., plus a hat to shade from the sun. No short sleeved T shirts or shorts will be allowed.

We are meeting together firstly, then to split into three groups and we will be assigned the groups we will work in. The balsam is easy to pull up and will be quite fun, even for the children. We are doing a service project as this balsam spreads everywhere. At least one Chorley Councillor will come along too. Bring some water. The “bashing” will be from 10am until 12pm at the latest. We are aiming for at least 80 people. So please come. 100 would be great.

Car Parking, Stake Conference. There will be a great demand for disabled parking spaces, particularly on Sunday morning. We are again asking that the carpark located on the same side as the Stake Centre, is kept free for the use of those who have reduced mobility. For those who are able to do so, please park in the other parking spaces throughout the temple site, Thank you for supporting us at previous conferences, where this has worked very well.
