🎵 All good gifts around us are sent from heaven above; then thank the Lord, O thank the Lord, for all His love! 🎵

A very big thank you to all those who supported our coffee morning 🙌

Don’t forget, our Harvest Service will be taking place tomorrow at 10.30am with Rev Phil Gough. We'll have songs, prayers and a joyful worship for all ages 🙏

Harvest is a time to give thanks for all the good things we've been given. If you'd like to bring a gift, everything donated will go to Chorley Help the Homeless 💚

We'd be glad to receive fruit and vegetables, tinned items and dried food, such as pasta, rice and cereals. Every gift makes a difference to someone in our community 🥰

Come as you are. We'd love to see you 🌈

As we are gathered, Jesus is here,
one with each other, Jesus is here;
joined by the Spirit; washed in His Blood,
part of the Body, the Church of God.
As we are gathered, Jesus is here,
one with each other, Jesus is here ✝️

Good morning Coppull 👋

Just to say THANK YOU to everybody who attended our event yesterday 🥰

It was a wonderful opportunity to come together, strengthen friendships, and raise vital funds that will help support the ongoing work and mission of our church 🙏

Moments like these remind us of the value of fellowship and the difference that collective effort can make. The doors will be back open this morning with with our service at 10.30am ❤️

We look forward to seeing you 🌈

We always enjoy friends coming back to Coppull and this morning we listened to our former Rev Janet Pybon 🌈

Janet explained a bible passage in which a landowner goes out early in the morning and hires men, agreeing to pay them the daily rate - a silver coin for a day’s work 🪙

He hires them at various times throughout the day and promises all of the workers a fair wage. When the end of the day came, the landowner paid the workers, starting with those who had been hired last 🤲

Those who began working at 5pm were given the daily rate - one silver coin. When it came to those who had been hired first (early in the morning) they thought that they were going to receive more 🤑

When they too were given the standard daily wage they began to grumble They were angry because they had done a lot more work than those who had started later. The landowner reminded them that they had agreed to the daily rate of pay when they were hired 👍

This means that those people who consider themselves the most important in the Kingdom of God because of their good deeds will be surprised - this is not how God’s grace works 🤔

People who come to Christianity later in their lives will still be given the same reward (entry into the Kingdom of Heaven) as those who have been faithful all their lives ✨

At Spendmore Lane we welcome everybody and Janet finished in prayer for those we love, those we find hard to love and those we sometimes fail to love ❤️

❌ EVENT CANCELLED ❌

Unfortunately, due to the wet conditions from all the recent rain, we’ve made the decision to cancel today’s Outdoor Market 🌧️

While we were hoping the weather would cooperate, the grounds are simply too wet to comfortably and safely host the event 🙁

Thank you for understanding and we’ll rearrange for Saturday, 26th September. Keep your fingers crossed 🤞
