LIGHT, Chippenham LIGHT is an inclusive and accessible church for all, including differently abled folks, their friends, families and carers!

LIGHT is a church service born over 10 years ago and founded by Rev Alice Kemp, after the realization that there was a profound need for an accessible church group and her son had the vison to start one. It is more than a church service, it offers a safe, inclusive environment and provides that sense of unity, for parents, carers and their loved ones to gather together and learn about God. Our uni

que members are differently abled and neurodiverse and are valued for their uniqueness. We meet at St Peter’s church Chippenham on the 2nd Sunday of the month at 3-4.30pm. Each month we plan the sessions around a theme from the bible such as ‘hope’ and then build our service around this, from the crafts, to the songs and the ‘story’. The sessions start with fellowship as we all catch up with refreshments and complete the craft activity. Then we congregate for our songs, prayers, sharing our news (which gives everyone a voice), bible story and more songs with signing and of course instruments. Sometimes we include a drama, which our members love participating in. Once/twice a year we have a celebration service such as a picnic party!
