Exciting news to share!! We have been Awarded Community Centre of the Year!! So very proud to have achieved this 💗

Bringing together residents of all ages, St Barnabas Centre is a not-for-profit charity and a vibrant community hub. The Danesmoor-based centre houses
St Barnabas Church, the Little Petals Nursery, and a range of groups from youth clubs to mental health and toddler sessions. The centre provides free meals, a clothing rail, community gardens, and a range of family-friendly events throughout the year.
The judges admired the centre's unwavering commitment to the local community. Beyond its extensive programme of activities, it provides a safe, non-judgmental space where residents can seek support, social connection, or simply a friendly chat over a cup of tea. The judges also admire how St Barnabas evolves to meet local needs, supporting all ages with dedication to community spirit and wellbeing.
