🖐 MEET THE CONNECT TEAM 🖐
The 'Connect Team' consists of 5 volunteers who plan the nights - though there are other others who support 'behind the scenes', too! (We're grateful for them!)
One by one, we'll introduce you to each of 'The Team' in a fun kind-of-way ... 🙂

Favourite Song: 🎶
I have many favourite songs (hard to pick!) but I can tell you my favourite bands. Fleetwood Mac is one, which I often play on a Friday evening to kickstart my weekend (my husband likes to call this “Fleetwood Friday”!) and Kings of Leon.
Favourite Bible Verse: 📖
The Bible is a library of books split into the Old and New Testament. There are 66 books in total, so you can imagine how many verses the Bible contains!
It never ceases to amaze me how the Bible continually reveals something new, fresh and relevant for life today. With this in mind, Revelation 21:5 says: “Behold, I (Jesus) am making all things new”. This tells me how God is not limited to fixing or repairing our existing world and personal situations but that He is the ultimate agent of renewal and transformation.
Coffee or Tea? ☕
Tea. Yorkshire Tea is always my first choice which may have influenced my choice in husband who is a Yorkshire lad! :P
Winter or Summer? 🌨 ☀
Summer! I love the long summer nights, eating outdoors in the garden, getting a tan on my pasty white shins and, of course, the vitamin D!
Dogs or Babies? 🐶👶
I don’t own a baby (!) ... but I do own a BIG Dobermann. He is very much part of the family and has a better social life than I do!
Pop or Indie? 🧀 😎
Indie.
Online Shopping or Store Shopping? 🛒
It used to be shopping in store but nowadays it is so easy to return online shopping, so this is my preferred method. My bedroom is now my personal changing room!
TV Shows or Movies? 📺 🎦
There is nothing like snuggling up with the husband and dog and watching a movie.
Why I'm on the 'Connect' Team: ✝️
I have a love for the village I was born and raised in (Holmewood, Derbyshire). I want to invest time creating more opportunities to bring our community together and 'Connect' is a perfect way to achieve this through the local church.
People from the village and others from far and wide are invited to come together, have fun, build relationships and above all hear about the goodness of God and how He just wants to pour out His goodness directly into our lives.
God never said being a follower of Jesus would be a bed of roses but what He does promise is: “Never will I leave you, never will I forsake you” (Hebrews 13:5). No matter what we face in this life ... He is with us! Over the years of getting to know Him, I know this to be true and I want to share of His goodness with those around me.
