Connect Nights at ALCC

💡✝ CONNECT - MAY 2024 💡✝

Such a great night on the theme of 'Competition'!

After some competitive games, Ben preached from Hebrews 12:1-2 ... comparing life to a race ... and how, when we 'look unto Jesus', the 'sin weights' fall off us ... allowing us to run well in life! 🏃🏆

Lots of fun ... laughter ... worship ... burgers and scones! ⚽ 😂 🎶 🍔 🧁

Keep your eyes posted for our next "Connect"! 👌

💡"CONNECT" @ ALCC - JUNE 2023 💡

Another fabulous evening of music 🎶, games 🎲 and good food ... for the soul and the body! 🍽

Thank you everyone for coming - we look forward to seeing you at our next event! 👌

Let's keep Heather's preach on the theme of 'Light' at the forefront of our minds this week:

'I am the light of the world. Whoever follows Me will never walk in darkness but will have the light of life.' (Jesus Christ, John 8:12) ✝

As we follow Jesus - THE Light - we ourselves will reflect His light and bring hope to others around us.

Let's choose to shine this week! ☀ 🙏

🖐 MEET THE CONNECT TEAM 🖐

The 'Connect Team' consists of 5 volunteers who plan the nights - though there are others who support 'behind the scenes', too! (We're grateful for them!)

One by one, we'll introduce you to each of 'The Team' in a fun kind-of-way ... 🙂

Name: 🖋
Jayne Mellor

Occupation: 💼
Retired!

Favourite Song: 🎶
Bryan Adams: 'Everything I Do, I Do It For You' ♥

Favourite Bible Verse: 📖
John 14:6 - "Jesus said, 'I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me."

Coffee or Tea? ☕
Both ... but not at the same time! 😂

Winter or Summer? 🌨 ☀
I have to say both and for different reasons. I love the summer, the light nights, holidays etc. Winter has Christmas. What can I say!

Dogs or Babies? 🐶👶
Babies, all the time. They are awesome and beautiful and tiny and cuddly!

Pop or Indie? 🧀 😎
Depends what mood I'm in. I like both.

Online Shopping or Store Shopping? 🛒
Ummm ... I prefer the faff of store shopping but I do shop online sometimes.

TV Shows or Movies? 📺 🎦
I prefer TV shows. They tend to be shorter ... unless of course you binge watch them! 😛

Why I'm on the 'Connect' Team ✝
I love Jesus! I have found the 'real thing' that people are searching for and I want to tell them that Jesus loves them so much. And I was asked to join the Team - LOL! 😂
