A ‘thank you’ drop in coffee morning was held in St Chad’s Church this morning (20.6.26)with almost 100 people coming to see the restored and reinstated Battlefield Window.

Coffee, cake and an opportunity to see the newly completed window, was extended to the community as a ‘thank you’ for its support, raising the funds for the windows restoration.

The team from Holywell Glass, Wells, have done an amazing job and only finished yesterday! The window and new masonry look amazing!

Look out for more opportunities to see the window and find out more about new discoveries!

There will be a service of dedication in the autumn.

A great Quiz night was held at Prees Village Hall last night. Competitors worked together in teams, answering a range of questions from ‘the nature’ round to ‘the colour green’. The picture round kept people chatting and focussed whilst enjoying their casserole and cake supper. Thanks to Bill (question master) and to all involved in supper preparation. The overall winners were team ‘Prees Parish’! A great social evening for St Chad’s Church. Thanks for your attendance!
