Today is Good Friday. The day we remember the crucifixion ✝.

It is a solemn day of mourning and reflection on the suffering and sacrifice of Jesus on the cross for the sins of humanity. In John 19:28-30 we read:

"After this, when Jesus knew that all was now finished, he said (in order to fulfil the scripture), “I am thirsty.” A jar full of sour wine was standing there. So they put a sponge full of the wine on a branch of hyssop and held it to his mouth. When Jesus had received the wine, he said, “It is finished.” Then he bowed his head and gave up his spirit."

Today, all seems lost. Hope is nowhere to be found; but Sunday is coming.

Today marks the start of the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, this years theme is taken from Isaiah 1:17 "Do good, seek justice."

We pray that our hearts will be open to see and hear the many ways in which injustice destroys lives, and to pray for clarity on the actions we can take, individually and as part of our community, to build a better future together.

Hi everyone, hope you are having a good summer. We're having a low key, low tech, Just Worship this month, with songs, prayers and sharing stories around the firepit. We'd love you to join us for 5 minutes or the whole two hours.

Hi everyone, just to let you know that we've decided to cancel Just Worship this month, as a number of key people either have, or are recovering from, Covid. We hope to see you all in August.

Is it Just Worship this weekend? Yes it is!! We're excited that this month our worship is going to be led by Rachel Wilkinson from Jesmond Methodist Church. So, if you'd like a space to come and 'just worship' why not join us on Saturday night. Come for the whole 2 hours, or just 5 minutes. Come and sing, come and pray, come and sit quietly and rest - it's up to you. We're simply offering time and space to meet with God. We hope to see you there.
