❄️ Can we beat last year's total?

In 2025, our Tesco Winter Collection collected an incredible 5,384kg of food and toiletries, helping provide around 6,730 meals for local people facing hardship.

This November, we're hoping to make an even bigger difference! 🛒

With your support, we’d love to increase that total and help even more people across our community - but we need volunteers to encourage donations in the below Tesco stores to make it happen! 🙌🏻

📍Durham Gilesgate
📍Chester-le-Street
📍Newton Aycliffe

Whether you can spare an hour or a few, we’d love your help volunteering at our Tesco Winter Collection! Every volunteer makes a difference in helping us collect donations for local people in need 💚

Got a few hours to spare this winter? County Durham and Sunderland Foodbank are calling on the community to help make their Tesco Winter Collection a success! Every donation counts, and every volunteer helps make a difference 🎄

Help us make a difference this winter! 🎄

Our Tesco Winter Collection is coming up, and we’d love your help!

Every donation collected helps us support local people facing crisis, providing food and essentials when they need them most, both over Christmas and into the new year.

We’re looking for volunteers to join us at Tesco stores in Chester-le-Street, Durham Gilesgate and Newton Aycliffe. We’re particularly in need of volunteers at Newton Aycliffe, so if you’re local and can spare some time, we’d love to hear from you!

Volunteering involves:

✅ Chatting to customers and encouraging donations
✅ Collecting and sorting donated items
✅ Packing food into crates ready for collection
✅ Helping set up and run our foodbank stand

Even a few hours of your time could make a real difference to local people this winter!

📩 Fancy getting involved? Email [email protected] to sign up.

Let’s make this year’s collection a great one! 💚

Small acts of kindness can go such a long way 💛

A Friday Thought 💚

You might not be able to change everything, but even the smallest act of kindness can make a real difference to someone.

Whether it’s donating an item, volunteering your time, sharing our posts or simply looking out for someone in your community - every little bit helps 💚
