National Volunteer Week is all about celebrating the incredible people who give their time to support us, and that includes our fantastic corporate volunteers too! πŸ’š

Today we were joined by the wonderful team from Nissan, one of our key corporate volunteer groups. They always arrive ready to roll up their sleeves, get stuck in, and make a real difference in the community.

A huge thank you to the Nissan team for your continued support, hard work, and enthusiasm!

We also want to extend our gratitude to all of our corporate volunteer groups who generously give their time and energy throughout the year. Your commitment, teamwork, and willingness to get involved help us achieve so much more for the community.

Thank you for supporting us! πŸ’šβœ¨

We just wanted to take a moment to say a huge thank you to Sunderland Care and Support Ltd, one of our leading supporters here at County Durham and Sunderland Foodbank πŸ’š

They have always been a fantastic supporter of our work, and since Gillian took the lead, that support has gone from strength to strength. Thanks to her passion and dedication, the foodbank has become a real priority across the organisation and among the people they support.

From running fantastic appeals throughout the year (keep an eye out for their Summer Appeal!), to hosting donation points across multiple locations and services, and making monetary donations raised through fundraising events, their support comes in so many forms.

What’s truly special is that everyone gets involved. Teams and colleagues from across Sunderland Care and Support come together to support the effort, and even the customers get involved too because they recognise just how important this work is.

Since 2023, Sunderland Care and Support have donated the equivalent of 4,178 meals – absolutely incredible!

We are incredibly grateful for everything Gillian and Sunderland Care and Support do for our community. Thank you for standing with us and helping to make a difference πŸ’š

It's International Leaving the Office Early Day! πŸŽ‰

If you're gaining a little extra time today and planning to pop to the shops, could you spare a little extra kindness too?

Our campaign encourages shoppers to add just one extra food item from our urgently needed food items list to their basket to help local families through the summer holidays.

One extra item can help ensure our shelves stay stocked at a time when demand often increases and donations can fall.

One extra item. A big impact. β˜€οΈπŸ₯«πŸ’š
