Big thanks to our very good friends at the Haveli Great Lumley, Indian Restaurant over the road from us at Great Lumley Methodist Church. They have generously offered to pay £300 towards our shopping bills for the foodbank we run. This generosity will do a huge amount of good by supporting struggling local families and individuals in the area. Here’s the first trolley-load of shopping which cost £66.68. We’ll keep you up to date with more shopping in future posts.

Today there is no 10.30am service at glmc. Instead we are all meeting at Trinity Methodist Church at Shiney Row. All are welcome. Our 6.00pm service will be held as usual.

Our new baby and toddler group, Blessed Beginnings, starts this week! We'd love to see you on Thursday (4th June) at 9:30am with your little one(s).

Thank you very much to Lynn Webb who raised £200 towards the work of Heaven's Kitchen Mini Market (our foodbank and community table project) by running a table top sale on Saturday. We’d like to thank all the traders and members of the community who attended too. This money will be put to good use helping struggling local families and individuals in a multitude of ways.

At 10.30am we'll worship at Chester-le-Street Methodist Church with the rest of the circuit. Rev Dr Andrew Stobbart (Principal of Cliff College in Derbyshire) is the speaker. At 5.00pm we will meet with re:new at the reFuse cafe in Chester-le-Street.
