We are proud to announce that we will be running Alpha at St.Mary’s Church this summer.

Alpha is a space to unpack the basics of the Christian faith together. No pressure. No judgement. Just open conversation. That’s it. Come along, see what you think.

Each session we'll watch a video and then have chance to chat.
Alpha runs all around the world, it’s free, and everyone is invited. Last year, over 2 million people tried Alpha!

The experience is open to everyone, no matter their background or beliefs. Alpha is simply a safe space to meet new people, find out the basics, and share thoughts and we would love to welcome you.

The short course runs over 6 sessions – each week a different big question around the Christian faith is unpacked and explored together.

Come to all of them, or dip in and out.

Dates are on the attached flyer. We hope to see you there!

Congratulations to Deacon Heather Ross, who was licensed to the Cheshunt Team this evening.

As part of her ministry, Deacon Heather will be spending some of her time supporting the mission and ministry of Christ Church, Waltham Cross. We are delighted to welcome her and look forward to the gifts, energy and dedication she will bring to our parish community.

A Distinctive Deacon is someone called to a lifelong ministry of service. Deacons are ordained to serve Christ in the Church and in the world, helping to bridge the gap between the worship of the Church and the needs of the community. Their ministry is centred on service, compassion, advocacy and proclaiming the Gospel, encouraging the whole Church to live out Christ’s love in practical ways.

Please keep Deacon Heather in your prayers as she begins this new chapter of ministry, and pray that God will bless her as she serves the people of the Cheshunt Team.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who supported St Mary's Summer Fete!

It was such a joy to welcome so many new and familiar faces into the church and churchyard for an afternoon of fun, laughter and community.

Thanks to your incredible generosity, an amazing £2,000 was raised!

Every penny will help St Mary's - your local church - to continue to serve the Cheshunt community in many different ways. This includes Wednesday Coffee Mornings, social events open to all, space for men to talk, hosting school leavers' services, helping families mark the beginnings and endings of life with care and dignity, and offering opportunities for people of all ages to explore and grow in faith through worship and courses such as the Bible Course.

Thank you to everyone who came along, volunteered, donated, baked, ran stalls, helped behind the scenes, or supported the day in any other way. Every contribution helped make the fete such a wonderful success, and the benefits will continue to be felt across the community.
