The Bridge Church Chepstow The Bridge Church is an Assemblies Of God (AOG) church situated in the Bulwark / Thornwell area of Chepstow, South Wales.

We are a church made up of families and individuals from every generation. We are always pleased to welcome visitors and newcomers into our church family. The simple purpose of the Bridge Church is to connect people closer to Jesus Christ. The Church was re-launched in September 2007 under its new name, ‘The Bridge Church’, and now holds its Sunday morning services at Unit 1A Critchcraft Buildings, Bulwark Road. We hope these pages give you a flavour of who we are and what we are about.

Back in February, while at a New Wine leadership conference, we heard a sermon that has stayed with some of the leaders who were there. It was about a revival in paper Bibles — a move away from apps and screens and back to a physical Bible that you can hold, read, write in, explore and make your own.
It got us thinking… 💭

And so, this week, we are celebrating all of our wonderful children by giving each of them their very own Bible during ‘Step up Sunday’. 📖❤️

A Bible they can read with their parents/carers, bring with them on Sundays into their groups, explore, learn from and grow with as they discover more about God and His Word.

What a blessing it is to be able to bless our children in this way! And what a blessing that sermon has been — sowing a seed back in February that has now grown into something so tangible and special for our church family.

We’re excited to see these Bibles filled with stories, questions, notes, drawings and memories as our children grow in faith. 🌱📖

We know this can be a stressful time for young people — and for their families too.
But remember this: grades don’t define you. Your value isn’t based on a number, a letter, or a university offer.

Whether results day brings joy, uncertainty, or a bit of both, you’re not alone - God’s plans for you remain unshaken.
He sees the bigger picture. He holds your future.

🙌 So take a deep breath. Talk it through. Celebrate every step.
And know this:
You are loved. You are seen. You have purpose.

The first Tuesday of the month means it’s time to gather together for an evening of worship and prayer.

Join us tonight as we seek God through song, prayer, and time in His presence. It’s an opportunity to pause, refocus, and come together more intentionally as we pray for our church, community, nation, and world.

Throwback to our Men's Breakfast a few weeks ago! 🍳☀️

On one of the hottest days of the year, our amazing cooks were hard at work serving up the usual Full English—and what a breakfast it was! 🙌

With one of our biggest turnouts yet, 28 hungry guys were catered for, and judging by this photo... doesn't it look incredible? 🤤

Good food, great conversation, plenty of laughs, and a fantastic morning together.

Join us for three specially themed Children's & Family Services during the school holidays! Expect energy, fun, games, laughter, and interactive activities as we discover more about Jesus and His amazing plan for our lives.

Whether you're a regular at The Bridge or visiting for the first time, everyone is welcome. Come along, bring the whole family, and make Sunday mornings a highlight of your summer!

🌟 We'll be open every week during the summer holidays, worshipping and having amazing Bible teaching. Kids groups will all be on and running as normal on the non 'family service' sessions. For more info on our Kids groups please see our website, link in bio. 🌟

☀️🎉 School’s Out for Summer! 🎉☀️

A huge thank you to our incredible local schools, teachers, teaching assistants and support staff for another fantastic year of learning.

We are so grateful for the love, dedication and passion you pour into the children in your care each and every day. The difference you make is immeasurable. Thank you 🙂

As the summer holidays begin, we’re praying that these weeks ahead would bring you rest, relaxation and plenty of special moments with family and friends.

It has been a real privilege to partner with our local schools this year. Thank you for welcoming us into your communities and allowing us to share in assemblies, concerts, celebrations and other special events. We love being part of your school family.

To all the children and families—have an amazing summer! 🌞
Stay safe, have fun, make lots of memories, and enjoy every moment of the break. We'll be cheering you on over the next six weeks!

🎉 And that's a wrap on this school year's assemblies! 🎉

Mr Martyn and Lis had a fantastic morning at Pembroke Primary School, sharing the message that each and every one of us is unique and wonderfully made. We explored how we are God's masterpiece, created with purpose, and that we don't need to change who we are just to fit in with the world around us.

It's always such a privilege and a blessing to spend time in our local schools, sharing stories, encouraging children, and being part of their school community.

A huge thank you to Pembroke Primary for welcoming us once again. We love partnering with you!

(Although... we're still not sure who enjoys these mornings more... Martyn and Lis or the children! 😄)
